Gull wing door-type dangerous article storage apparatus
10286829 · 2019-05-14 · ·

A gull wing door-type hazardous material container system allowing for easy loading and unloading of intermediate bulk containers is provided. The container system minimizes a loss of cold air fully filling the inside for safe work when only some of a plurality of intermediate bulk containers is selectively loaded. The container system includes a body that has a loading space to load airtight containers containing hazardous material and is opened at both sides and a pair of gull wing doors independently operated to open/close both sides of the body. Additionally, the system includes a partition plate longitudinally disposed in the body and divides the loading space into independent spaces of first and second loading spaces respectively. Cooling units are disposed in the first and second loading spaces, respectively, to independently supply cold air, in which the first and second loading spaces can be independently sealed by the gull wing doors.

DIVIDER PANEL SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR THEIR MANUFACTURING AND INSTALLATION

In an illustrative embodiment, a panel assembly for partitioning a trailer cargo space is provided including a first insulated panel and a second insulated panel, each insulated panel including a first side vertical edge having a connecting edge, and a second side vertical edge having a connecting edge. One of the insulated panels includes one or more spaced apart vertical cut lines proximate the first side vertical edge, where, when a given cut line is cleaved, the cleaved cut line is configured to form a new second side vertical edge having a connecting edge. A first mating extrusion may secure with a second side vertical edge of the first insulated panel, and a second mating extrusion may secure with a first side vertical edge of the second insulated panel where, upon mating the first and second mating extrusions, an insulated wall is formed.

FOAM REEFER WALL BACKING WITH SPACED ROWS OF LOOPS FOR BETTER ADHESION
20190031434 · 2019-01-31 ·

An improved reefer wall panel having better foam adhesion includes purposefully spaced gaps in the looped sections to be foamed. Such spaced gaps may extend horizontally, vertically, diagonally or in combinations of directions. These gaps (random or patterned) may be applied to the whole of a reefer panel or to just the more vulnerable lower sections where traffic impact during loading/unloading is more common and/or where delamination is known to occur more frequently. A method of reefer panel manufacture with such spaced gaps is also disclosed.

THERMAL SHIELD FOR MAINTAINING A GENERALLY CONSTANT TEMPERATURE
20190031431 · 2019-01-31 ·

A thermal shield comprises an insulation layer having a space defined therein, wherein a low-conductivity material fills the space, and a valve configured to connect to a vacuum to remove air from the space, thereby increasing insulating properties of the insulation layer.

Truck toolbox and cooler
10173609 · 2019-01-08 ·

The truck toolbox and cooler is a storage chest. The truck toolbox and cooler is configured for use in a vehicle commonly referred to as a pickup truck. The pickup truck is further defined with a bed, a sidewall, and a wheel well. The truck toolbox and cooler is configured to mount by the sidewall of the bed over the wheel well. The truck toolbox and cooler is an insulated structure. The truck toolbox and cooler comprises a thermal shell and a storage insert. The thermal shell forms the insulated exterior shell of the truck toolbox and cooler. The storage insert is a rigid structure stored within the thermal shell. The storage insert converts the interior space of the thermal shell into a space suitable for use in storing hand tools or portable power tools.

FOAM REEFER WALL BACKING WITH HOOK STRIP/SHAPE ADDITIONS AND RELATED METHOD

An improved reefer wall panel having better foam adhesion by including a plurality of hook and loop tape sections. The sections, as strips, may be applied horizontally or diagonally and may extend from the top to near the bottom of any such wall panel before foaming. They may be applied to the whole of panel, randomly throughout or to just the more vulnerable lower sections of a given panel.

INSULATING CONTAINER, TRANSPORTATION DEVICE AND TRANSPORTATION METHOD

An insulating container comprises a container body and a container cover connected to the container body. The container both and the container cover each comprises a frame and a plate arranged on the frame. The plate comprises, from inside out, an external high strength sheet, an extruded polystyrene sheet, phase-change insulating sheets made of phase-change material, and an internal sheet. A phase-change process of the phase-change insulating sheets cooperates with a refrigeration system of the transportation device to precisely control the temperature of the insulating container and a refrigerator truck to be near a phase-change temperature. In the present disclosure, the phase-change insulating sheets made of the phase-change material remain to be in a solid state before or after occurrence of a phase change, so that the structure of the insulating container does not change with the phase change and a leakage problem of the phase-change material does not exist.

Apparatus and method for a climate controlled cabinet onboard a vehicle
12071062 · 2024-08-27 · ·

A climate controlled food storage system onboard a vehicle comprises a cabinet with one or more compartments. Within the one or more compartments are a pair of front pilasters and a pair of rear pilasters. The front pilasters have fasteners for locking rails or shelves into place so that they will not move when the vehicle is in motion. The rear pilasters have slots that allow the rails or shelves to be easily inserted, removed, and adjusted within the cabinet. The pilasters maximize the use of space within the cabinet while permitting adequate air flow within the cabinet. The fasteners on the front pilasters and the slots on the rear pilasters are arranged symmetrically along the vertical length of the pilasters so that they can be used interchangeably on the left and right sides of the cabinet.

REAR IMPACT GUARD ASSEMBLY FOR TRAILERS

A semi-trailer has a rear impact guard including an elongated horizontal member that attaches to a trailer by a pair of vertical guards. The horizontal member may have a top surface, a bottom surface, and a leading edge from which a surface of the guard member extends rearward to the top or bottom surface. The rear impact guard may include a pair of gussets that extend from the vertical guards. Each gusset may include a main generally planar portion, a first stiffening flange perpendicular to the main portion, and a second stiffening flange perpendicular to the first stiffening flange.

SUSPENDED BULKHEADS FOR ENCLOSED CARGO TRANSPORTERS

Example bulkheads for cargo transporters (e.g., refrigerated trailers, trucks, reefers, and containers) are disclosed. An example bulkhead includes an overhead track system mountable to an enclosed cargo transporter within a cargo storage area. A first carriage is attached to the overhead track system. The first carriage is movable relative to the overhead track system in at least one of a lateral direction or a longitudinal direction while being guided by the overhead track system. A first panel is suspended by the first carriage from the overhead track system, where the weight of the first panel is substantially supported by the overhead track system via the first carriage.
