Cargo door for semi-truck
Systems, methods, and devices for a vehicle door or window are disclosed herein. A vehicle includes a vehicle body and a cabin located within the body of the vehicle, wherein the cabin includes an interior that is configured to accommodate at least one person. The vehicle includes at least one seat located in the interior of the cabin that is configured for seating a user. The vehicle includes at least one door that provides ingress and egress of the interior of the cabin of the vehicle, and the at least one door is located with respect to the body such that the door opens to provide ingress and egress of the cabin from a backside of the seat. Further, the door may be a cargo door, which allows access to the cabin for placement of a load, such as a cargo load on a pallet.
Truck Cab Bed Restraint Apparatus
A truck cab bed restraint apparatus for keeping a sleeping co-driver safely secured in a bunk includes a barrier comprising a left half and a right half. A hinge is coupled to the barrier. The left half and the right half swingingly move between an extended position and an alternate folded position. The barrier in the extended position is configured to be selectively engageable between a mattress and a pair of cabinets of a cab of a semi-truck. A plurality of bar guides is coupled to the barrier. A bar is coupled to the plurality of bar guides. The bar is slidably engaged within a bar aperture of the plurality of bar guides. The bar secures the barrier in the extended position when engaged within at least one bar guide coupled to each of the left half and the right half.
AIR QUALITY MONITORING AND CONTROL SYSTEM
An air quality system includes an air precleaner, a filter identification component, and a control module. The air precleaner has a precleaner housing and a filter disposed inside the precleaner housing. The filter identification component is positioned within the precleaner housing at a first position and is mounted on the filter. The control module is positioned within the precleaner housing at a second position and is configured to emit an electrical field and communicate with the filter identification component via the emitted electrical field.

A tractor trailer system includes a tractor and a trailer. The tractor includes a hotel device and an Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) configured to provide electrical power to the hotel device. The trailer is connected to the tractor, and includes a Transport Refrigeration Unit (TRU) having a TRU controller, an electrical TRU component, and a TRU Power Unit. The TRU controller is configured to utilize the APU to provide electrical power to the electrical TRU component during low TRU load conditions, and utilize the TRU Power Unit during high TRU load conditions.
Horizontal cabinet kit in sleeper cab of a truck
A plurality of different kits is provided for assembling horizontal cabinets in the sleeper cab of the truck. Each of the kits provide a horizontal cabinet which is positioned beneath the bunk of the sleeper cab. In one kit, a drawer assembly and a refrigerator are positioned in the cabinet. In another kit, a pair of drawer assemblies are positioned in the cabinet. In another kit, a pair of refrigerators are positioned in the cabinet. In another kit, a freezer is positioned in the cabinet. In another kit, a pair of freezers are positioned in the cabinet. All of the kits include a mounting plate which is secured to the floor of the sleeper cab beneath the bunk of the sleeper cab. In all of the kits a trim assembly is provided.
Deployable fairing for use with vehicles
Systems and methods are disclosed for providing a deployable fairing system to a tractor trailer. The deployable fairing system includes an actuator used to extend the deployable fairing from an unextended configuration to an extended configuration to occupy a portion of a gap area that exists between a tractor and an attached trailer. The deployable fairing includes deployable upper and/or lower horizontal assemblies that are pivotally coupled to a frame attached to the tractor/cab, and two side panels that are pivotally coupled to one or both of the upper and lower horizontal assemblies. The deployable upper and lower horizontal assemblies and the two side panels fold in on one another along multiple hinged axes in the unextended configuration, and extend rearward from the top and sides of the tractor in the extended configuration to cover a portion of the gap. The fairing may advantageously flair from front to the rear.

An electrical vehicular system for powering a semi-trailer truck provides a tractor unit and semi-trailers detachably coupled together with a trailer hitch connector. The tractor unit has a scalable chassis equipped with interchangeable body components that easily attach and detach to change appearance and functionality of the tractor unit and semi-trailers. A rear hitch platform on the tractor unit couples to, and hauls the semi-trailers. The tractor and semi-trailers are electrically powered through an arrangement of solar cell assemblies that recharge batteries in the wheel hubs of the tractor and/or semi-trailers. The solar cell assemblies operate on the tractor roof, sidewalls, and trailer roof. The tractor unit has an interior tractor cabin that forms a customizable center driving position for increased visibility, a sleeping portion for sleeping, and a living portion for operating and entertaining. Apparatus and Method For Lengthening a Truck Cab
A method of extending a truck cab includes removing the cab rear panel, providing a cab rear opening with an upper margin and two side margins. An extender joins the truck cab, the extender having a forward opening with an upper margin and side margins that are recessed. A top fillet and two side fillets join the margins of the extender opening and have curvatures that match curvatures of top and side corners of the cab. The extender is placed against the truck cab with the extender opening margins in abutment with the cab opening margins. The fillets are in flush contact with the upper corner and side corners of the cab. Bolts secure the extender opening margins to the cab opening margins.
