DEPLOYABLE FAIRING FOR USE WITH VEHICLES
Systems and methods are disclosed for providing a deployable fairing system to a tractor trailer. The deployable fairing system includes an actuator used to extend the deployable fairing from an unextended configuration to an extended configuration to occupy a portion of a gap area that exists between a tractor and an attached trailer. The deployable fairing includes deployable upper and/or lower horizontal assemblies that are pivotally coupled to a frame attached to the tractor/cab, and two side panels that are pivotally coupled to one or both of the upper and lower horizontal assemblies. The deployable upper and lower horizontal assemblies and the two side panels fold in on one another along multiple hinged axes in the unextended configuration, and extend rearward from the top and sides of the tractor in the extended configuration to cover a portion of the gap. The fairing may advantageously flair from front to the rear.
MODULAR SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING MOBILE WORKSTATIONS
A system for use with a van having: a front seat; and a cargo area including a floor and an aisle extending rearwardly from the seat and flanked by support portions. The system comprises: panels which in use define a room having: a terminus which separates the room from the seat; a wipe clean ceiling having: a central portion overlying the aisle and flanked by strips, each overlying a support portion; for each support portion, a wipe clean flanking wall extending substantially vertically from the edge of the floor; for each flanking wall, a substantially flat, wipe clean inclined wall extending from said each flanking wall to the edge of the ceiling defined by the strip overlying the support portion for which said flanking wall is provided; a plurality of frame members which, in use, are sandwiched between the chassis and the panel members; and at least one furnishing element.
Adjustable bunk and vehicle equipped with the same
An adjustable bunk is adapted for trucks or other vehicles equipped with a sleeping compartment. The bunk has a front end and a foot extremity and includes at least a first segment, pivotally connected to a second segment, by a supple connection, wherein the first segment may be in a horizontal position or in a non-horizontal position, while the second segment remains in a horizontal position. The first segment of the bunk is suspendable on an upper support placed above the bunk.
ITEM OF FURNITURE
The present invention relates to an item of furniture, comprising lateral elements which form a carcass, a top element and/or bottom element and/or a seat base, wherein the item of furniture comprises at least one securing mechanism for securing the item of furniture to a bottom element or a wall element, wherein the securing mechanism has magnetic properties.
Air quality monitoring and control system
An air quality system includes an air precleaner, a filter identification component, and a control module. The air precleaner has a precleaner housing and a filter disposed inside the precleaner housing. The filter identification component is positioned within the precleaner housing at a first position and is mounted on the filter. The control module is positioned within the precleaner housing at a second position and is configured to emit an electrical field and communicate with the filter identification component via the emitted electrical field.
BUNK FOR A VEHICLE CAB
The bunk comprises a frame attached to the cab, having a front beam, a rear beam, and side beams, each side beam comprising a front segment and a rear segment; and a supporting structure coupled to the frame and extending over the inner surface of the frame. The bunk can change from a normal state, in which the front and rear beams are spaced apart by a nominal distance Dn, the front and rear segments being in a first relative position, to a collapsed state, in which the front and rear beams are spaced apart by a distance D<Dn, and in which the front and rear segments are in a second relative position.
