Spare Tire Security Device
20190315417 · 2019-10-17 ·

A security device to safeguard spare tires with a rim is mounted on the underside of a vehicle with a cable attached to a pin on one end and a winch on the other end. The security device includes a flat disc base and a tube with several openings or holes. This device enters through the main spare tire rim opening, the base is supported on one side and the tube crosses it up to exit on the opposite side, thus protecting the cable that holds the tire. The cable and pin are introduced through the rim and they are introduced by the tube in such a way that the pin is inserted in a series of lateral holes in said tube. The cable and tire are adjusted by means of a winch. The cable that holds the tire is covered by the tube of the security device.

A vehicle rear bumper includes a rear bumper face. The rear bumper face includes right and left side face blocks and a middle face block. An outer edge part in the vehicle width direction of the middle face block is fastened and fixed attachably and detachably to the right and left side face blocks. The middle face block has a lower flange that extends in a vehicle body frontward direction from a lower end of a block main body part. Each of right and left edge parts of the lower flange is fastened and fixed to a lower surface of the side face block. In the lower flange, an extension length to the vehicle body frontward direction and a maximum thickness in a vertical direction are gradually increased from a middle region in the vehicle width direction toward a fastening fixation part.

Tire carrier

A tire carrier assembly is provided and includes a bracket, a tire carrier, a carrier support and a hoist. The carrier support is lockable and unlockable and is configured to support the tire carrier in a stowed position when locked and to swing the tire carrier toward a deployed position when unlocked. The hoist is coupled to the bracket and the carrier support and is configured to normally lock the carrier support and to be selectively actuatable to unlock the carrier support.

Motor vehicle with load compartment floor

A mounting mechanism for mounting a moveable bearing part relative to a counter-bearing part, including the moveable bearing part with a plurality of bearing elements, the counter-bearing part with counter-bearing elements which are locally moveable relative to the remaining counter-bearing part from a starting position into a deformation position and vice versa, wherein the bearing elements a contact surface each lie on a counter-contact surface of the counter-bearing elements each for the force transmission from the bearing elements to the counter-bearing elements so that the bearing elements are in mechanical operative connection with the counter-bearing elements because of the contact between bearing elements and the counter-bearing elements and a movement of the bearing part with the bearing elements causes a local relative movement of those counter-bearing elements from the starting position into the deformation position, which counter-bearing elements are in mechanical operative connection with the bearing elements and the local relative movement of the counter-bearing elements from the starting position into the deformation position causes an elastic deformation of elastic components and following the termination of the mechanical operative connection an elastic recovery of the elastic component causes a return movement of these counter-bearing elements from the deformation position into the starting position.

Spare wheel assembly winch with force dependent cable release mechanism

A spare wheel assembly winch having a force dependent cable release mechanism is disclosed. In one embodiment, the sheave includes a series of breakaway features that can be torn if the tension on the spare tire cable exceeds the predetermined level, thus allowing the inner, gear-containing portion of the sheave to rotate independently of the outer, cable-holding portion. In another embodiment, the sheave includes a series of breakaway notches formed on the gear teeth of the internal gear. In a further embodiment, a frangible tab extends from torque plate into a depression formed in the cover plate. In yet another embodiment, a tear feature extends from the housing and is situated adjacent the torque plate arm. In an additional embodiment, frangible tabs extend from the body of the sheave into a geared insert. In still another embodiment, a frangible tab extends from a geared insert into the torque plate.
