GOLF CLUB HEADS AND METHODS TO MANUFACTURE GOLF CLUB HEADS
Embodiments of golf club heads and methods to manufacture golf club heads are generally described herein. A golf club head includes a means for defining an interior cavity including a first material having a first density. The golf club head also includes a first means for increasing a moment of inertia of the means for defining the interior cavity, a second means for increasing a moment of inertia of the means for defining the interior cavity, and a third means for increasing a moment of inertia of the means for defining the interior cavity. The first, second, and third means include a second material having a second density greater than the first density. A portion of the first, second, and third means define visible portions of a back wall portion of the means for defining an interior cavity. Other examples and embodiments may be described and claimed.
Golf club head or other ball striking device having impact-influencing body features
A ball striking device, such as a golf club head, has a face with a striking surface configured for striking a ball and a channel extending across a portion of the sole. The channel may be recessed from adjacent surfaces of the sole and have a depth of recession from the adjacent surfaces of the sole, wherein the channel comprises a center portion extending across a center of the sole, a heel portion extending from a heel end of the center portion toward the heel, and a toe portion extending from a toe end of the center portion toward the toe, wherein the width and the depth of the center portion of the channel are substantially constant, and wherein the depth of the channel is greater at the heel and toe portions than at the center portion.
Golf club heads
Some disclosed golf club heads include body having at least one raised sole portion and a cantilevered ledge extending down around a perimeter of the club head below the level of the raised sole portion. Some disclosed golf club heads include one or more sole openings in the body and a sole insert that is mounted inside the body over the sole openings. The sole can include weight tracks as well, and a rear weight track can extend between a toe side sole opening and a heel side sole opening. A crown insert can also be included that is mounted over an upper opening in the body.

A golf club includes a shaft, and a club head provided at an end of the shaft, wherein: the club head includes a head body and plate-like face member provided as a hitting face of the head body; and the face member is fixed to the head body only at a part of an upper or lower edge surface, or parts of both upper and lower edge surfaces of the face member. A fixing position of the face member may be located in the proximity of a node of a characteristic vibration in a case of freely supporting the face member. The Rockwell C-scale hardness of the face member is preferably no less than 40. The face member may be fixed to the head body by a set screw, at two locations of the upper edge surface, and two locations of the lower edge surface of the face member.

Embodiments of golf club heads and methods to manufacture golf club heads are generally described herein. In one example, a golf club head may include a body portion having a first interior cavity portion, a toe portion, a heel portion, a top portion, a bottom portion, a rear portion, a front portion having a face portion, and a second interior cavity portion having an elastic polymer material. The body portion may include a plurality of ports located on the bottom portion. Other examples and embodiments may be described and claimed.
Golf Club Heads with Energy Storage Characteristics
Embodiments of golf club heads with energy storage characteristics are presented herein. In some embodiments, a golf club head comprises a hollow body comprising a strikeface, a heel region, a toe region opposite the heel region, a sole, a top rail and an inflection point. The inflection point provides increase bending of the strikeface thereby providing performance enhancement over clubs without an inflection point.

GOLF CLUB HEAD HAVING DEFLECTION FEATURES AND RELATED METHODS
Described herein is a golf club head comprising a deflection feature to increased ball speed and launch distance, while producing desirable acoustics and optimized mass distribution. The deflection feature can include any one of or any combination of an insert comprising a gap, an insert comprising voids, a thin uniform sole, a cutout in the top rail, optimized face material, a thin sole, a reinforcement device, or a multi material weight.
Golf club head
A golf club head includes a striking face, a crown and a sole. The crown and/or the sole includes an FRP member formed by a fiber reinforced plastic that contains a fiber and a matrix resin. The FRP member has an average flexural modulus of greater than or equal to 25 GPa. The fiber may contain a carbon fiber. The carbon fiber may have a tensile elastic modulus of greater than or equal to 300 GPa. The fiber may contain a metallic fiber. The FRP member may have a resin content of less than or equal to 40% by weight. The matrix resin may have a glass transition temperature of higher than or equal to 150° C.
