Polymer cover layer for golf club face
A golf club head, comprising a striking surface having an outer cover layer comprising a polyurethane or polyurea having a material Shore D hardness of 40 to 70, a layer thickness of 0.2 to 0.6 mm, and a flexural modulus of 5 to 110 kpsi.
SPORTS BALL, BAT, AND ASSOCIATED METHODS
A spherical ball is for throwing with a spin so that the ball curves and rises during flight. The spherical ball may include a body defining an internal cavity therein, and an outer surface. The outer surface may include solid planar surfaces, each and every one of the solid planar surfaces directly adjoining multiple adjacent ones of the solid planar surfaces. The directly adjoining multiple adjacent ones of the solid planar surfaces may define a repeating pattern having a pentagon-shaped solid planar surface surrounded by hexagon-shaped solid planar surfaces. Boundaries between the directly adjoining ones of the solid planar surfaces may be integral and continuous with adjacent portions of the outer surface.
GOLF CLUB HEAD HAVING TEXTURE PATTERN AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME
Provided are a golf club head and a method for producing the golf club head. The golf club head comprises a striking face that in turn comprises a recurrent texture pattern that has a period T and that is defined by a plurality of depressions, each depression having an average depth no greater than 0.10 mm. The striking face also comprises a plurality of scorelines that at least partially intersect the recurrent texture pattern and that have a scoreline pitch Ps such that T/Ps is greater than 1.0, each scoreline having an average depth no less than 0.10 mm.
FACE SHEET FOR A PICKLEBALL PADDLE
The present disclosure provides for a face sheet for resurfacing a pickleball paddle. The face sheet includes a backing having a first major surface and a second major surface opposite the first major surface, where the first major surface and the second major surface include a patterned texture on at least a portion of the first major surface to provide grip against a surface of a pickleball being struck by the pickleball paddle having the face sheet. The face sheet can further include an adhesive material on at least a portion of the second major surface of the backing, where the adhesive material helps to secure the face sheet to the pickleball paddle.
IMPACT INDICATOR COATINGS AND METHODS
Impact indicator compositions, application devices, and methods comprising coating a surface to be impacted, wherein the coating comprises microcapsules having a cross-linked polyurea shell and a core surrounded by the shell, the core comprising at least one color former; and a developer capable of activating the color former when in contact therewith.
Composite Diamond Coated Golf Clubs
The disclosure is directed to golf clubs with composite coatings for improved performance; features; economy; environmental, health and safety; and other factors. A golf club includes at least a head and a shaft, the shaft being attached to the head, the head having a ball striking surface, where at least a central portion of the ball striking surface is covered with a nickel-based coating, said nickel-based coating further comprises diamond particulates with a uniform distribution.
