HANDLE LOCK STRUCTURE FOR SADDLED VEHICLE
20180304946 · 2018-10-25 ·

An electric handle lock structure for a saddled vehicle which can provide a compact arrangement around a handle to thereby achieve miniaturization of a vehicle body front portion. A handle lock structure for a saddled vehicle includes: a handle steering shaft operated by a handle; a front wheel steering shaft disposed to steer a front wheel in front of the handle steering shaft; a top bridge which is fastened to an upper end of the handle steering shaft and to which the handle is fixed; and an electric handle lock device that is electrically operated and is provided between the handle steering shaft and the front wheel steering shaft in the proximity of the handle, and the electric handle lock device is disposed so that at least part thereof overlaps below the top bridge in a plan view.

Apparatus and method for bicycle anti-theft

An apparatus and a method for bicycle anti-theft are provided. When a biometric feature of a user matches a preset biological feature, a brake lever is fixed at a preset position to lock the bicycle.

Device for passive control of steering mechanisms
10065695 · 2018-09-04 ·

A device for preventing the front wheel of a bicycle from turning, comprising a clamp, a lever, and a receiver. The clamp is configured to be removably coupled with the steer tube of a bicycle, and is adjustable. The adjustable clamp is configured to be secured tightly around the steer tube to prevent rotation of the front wheel of the bicycle and to prevent rotation of the clamp around the steer tube. The lever is coupled with the clamp and is rotatable from vertical, through horizontal, to the proper angle to meet the receiver, which is disposed on a cross bar or down tube of a bicycle. The lever includes a knob and the receiver is configured to receive and slightly contract around the knob, temporarily coupling the steer tube and the cross bar or down tube, locking the wheel in its position when the lever is engaged.

HANDLEBAR LOCKING DEVICE AND MOVING BODY

The present invention provides a handlebar locking device which (i) can be used for a moving body whose traveling direction is changed with a handlebar and (ii) makes it difficult to unlock the handlebar by a forcible method such as breaking. The handlebar locking device (20) includes (i) a lock unit (30) which is fixed in a steering column (11) that rotates along with a handlebar (5) and (ii) a fixed bracket (70) which is fixed in a head tube (12). The lock unit (30) includes (i) a lock pin (31) having a tip part (31a) that protrudes from a guiding long hole (11a) of the steering column (11) and (ii) a lock pin drive mechanism which controls the lock pin (31) to axially move back and forth. The fixed bracket (70) has an engagement groove (71) with which the lock pin (31) is to be engaged.

Vehicle

A vehicle includes a linkage, a steering force transmission, and a steering lock. The steering force transmission includes a rear shaft that is able to turn about a rear axis, a front shaft that is able to turn about a front axis, and a connector. When seen from a side of the vehicle, a distance between the front shaft and a right steering axis is smaller than a distance between the rear shaft and the right steering axis, and in which at least one portion of the steering lock that is mounted on the front shaft or a member that turns together with the front shaft and a member that is displaced relative thereto is provided in a position that overlaps a movable range of the linkage when seen from the side of the vehicle.

Vehicle

A vehicle includes a linkage, a steering force transmission, a steering lock and a steering stopper. The steering force transmission includes a rear shaft that is able to turn about a rear axis, a front shaft that is able to turn about a front axis, and a connector that transmits the turning of the rear shaft to the front shaft. The steering lock includes a first portion and a second portion which are able to be displaced relative to each other and makes it impossible for a right front wheel and a left front wheel to turn by making it impossible for the first portion to be displaced relative to the second portion. The steering stopper includes a third portion and fourth portions which are able to be displaced relative to each other and restricts a maximum steering angle of the right front wheel and the left front wheel by stopping the relative displacement of the third portion to the fourth portions so that the right front wheel and the left front wheel are prevented from being steered to more than the maximum steering angle. The first portion and the third portion are provided on the rear shaft, and the second portion and the fourth portions are provided on a member that is displaced relative to the rear shaft.
