An exemplary ring lock generally includes a case, a shackle, and a lock mechanism. The shackle is movably mounted to the case. The lock mechanism is operable to selectively retain the shackle in a closed position. The case includes a first case portion including a first flange, and a second case portion including a second flange. In certain forms, the first flange and the second flange are welded to one another. In certain forms, the first flange and/or the second flange has a depth of one centimeter or less. In certain forms, the case includes at least one ramp configured to discourage gripping of the case.

PORTABLE LOCK APPARATUS

An exemplary security apparatus generally includes a tether, a head, and a body. The head is secured to the tether, and generally includes a plug including a latch and an actuator at least selectively operable to move the latch from a latching position to an unlatching position. The body is secured to the tether, and includes a port operable to receive the plug. With the plug received in the port, the latch prevents separation of the head and the body when the latch is in the latching position, and does not prevent separation of the head and the body when the latch is in the unlatching position.

Unlocking an electric bicycle via a mounted device

Various embodiments provide for a bike-supported communication network that manages and facilitates communications between components of an electric bicycle and a wireless network. In some embodiments, the systems and methods determine that a mobile device associated with the electric bicycle is in contact with a mount disposed on the electric bicycle, and cause a lock assembly to unlock the electric bicycle in response to the determination that the mobile device is in contact with the mount.

LOCKS AND WATERPROOF STRUCTURES THEREOF

Locks for resisting water and/or foreign matters are provided. The lock may include a lock tongue configured to secure an object, a lock pin configured to block the lock tongue to move along an axial direction of the lock tongue, a lock shell configured to accommodate at least a portion of the lock tongue or at least a portion of the lock pin, and a waterproof pipe arranged around at least a portion of the lock pin. The lock shell may include a through-hole. At least a portion of the lock pin may be moveable inward or outward the lock shell through the through-hole. The waterproof pipe may include a first connection end and a second connection end. The first connection end of the waterproof pipe may connect to the lock shell. The second connection end of the waterproof pipe may connect to the lock pin.

Anti-theft lock for two-wheel vehicles

An anti-theft lock for bicycles and other vehicles powered by a person, which lock can be switched over from a locking state into a move state, containing means for tamper-proof attachment of the lock to the vehicle, and a control unit for switching over the lock from the locking state into the move state, and vice versa, is characterized in that the control unit has a receiver for signals of an associated mobile transmitter which are transmitted in a wireless fashion and means for determining the distance of said control unit from the mobile transmitter; the control unit switches over the lock into the locking state if the distance exceeds a threshold value and the vehicle is simultaneously not travelling; and the control unit switches over the lock into the move state if the distance undershoots a threshold value.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CONTROLLING A LOCK
20190292815 · 2019-09-26 · ·

A system includes a storage device storing a set of instructions and at least one processor in communication with the storage device. When executing the instructions, the at least one processor is configured to cause the system to obtain a request to close a lock such that the lock is in a locked status, and actuate a control device to cause a locking mechanism of the lock to move toward a first position. The at least one processor may also cause the system to determine whether operation information of the lock satisfies a condition relating to an operation of the lock, and actuate the control device to cause the locking mechanism to move to the first position or a second position based on a result of the determination as to whether the operation information of the lock satisfies the condition.

An electronic security system for a bicycle includes an electronic security device, first connector and second connector. Electronic security device is disposed on frame of bicycle for securing bicycle and includes first rechargeable battery and first security circuit. First connector is disposed on electronic security device and includes first engagement member. Second connector includes first end portion, second end portion, second engagement member, second security circuit and second rechargeable battery disposed between first end portion and second end portion. Second end portion is connected to an anchoring device of a plurality of types of anchoring devices. Second engagement member is configured on first end portion and engages with first engagement member for charging first rechargeable battery by second rechargeable battery. First security circuit and second security circuit detect type of anchoring device when second and first engagement member engage and provide information of type of anchoring device to external system.

Horseshoe-shaped lock

An anti-theft lock is provided, comprising: a lock pin provided with a retaining groove and configured to realize unlocking or locking through movement of the lock pin; a tongue configured to be able to enter the retaining groove to stop the movement of the lock pin or move out of the retaining groove to release the lock pin to allow the lock pin to move; and a tongue driving member connected to an output shaft of a motor and configured to convert a rotational driving force of the motor into a driving force allowing the tongue to move out of the retaining groove.

Security systems and communication networks for electric bicycles

Various embodiments provide for a bike-supported communication network that manages and facilitates communications between components of an electric bicycle and a wireless network. In some embodiments, the systems and methods provide a bike-supported communication device that communicates with a wireless network via one or more wireless communication protocols, where the communication device is configured to manage communications between the wireless network and various components of the electric bicycle. The communication device can include a bicycle communications component that facilitates communications between the communication device and components of the electric bicycle, and a network communications component that facilitates communications between the electric bicycle and the wireless network.
