ELECTRIC BICYCLE HAVING A COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
An electric bicycle that has a communication system, including at least one electronic processing module for processing information for the rider of the electric bicycle, and at least one signal device for providing the processed information to the rider. To reduce safety risks due to the rider being distracted by his/her surroundings while riding the electric bicycle and to increase riding comfort, the at least one signal device is designed to output the information as a tactile, optical, and/or acoustic signal emitted by the electric bicycle in order to spontaneously influence the rider.
DEVICES AND METHODS FOR SYNCHRONIZED SIGNALING OF THE POSITIONS OF MOVING PEDESTRIANS OR VEHICLES
Position indicating devices, systems and methods useable for signaling the positions of pedestrians or vehicles.
Device for a bicycle
A device 1 for a bicycle, the device comprising: an elongate member 2, the elongate member 2 having a first end 2a arranged to be connected to the handlebar of the bicycle and a second end 2b arranged to extend freely; at least one light source 6 arranged to illuminate at least a part of the elongate member 2; wherein the elongate member 2 is flexibly resilient such that, if a force causes the elongate member 2 to move from a first configuration to a second configuration, the elongate member 2 will return to the first configuration once the force is removed; wherein the elongate member 2 is of a length so as to extend outwardly beyond an end of the handlebar.
Bicycle Safety Lighting Assembly
A bicycle safety lighting assembly for improved rider visibility and safety includes a front lighting array, a rear lighting array, and a control mechanism. The front lighting array is coupled to a front of a bicycle and comprises a running light, a headlight, and a pair of front turn signals. The rear lighting array is coupled to a back of the bicycle and comprises a brake taillight and a pair of rear turn signals. The control mechanism is coupled to a handle bar of the bicycle and comprises a housing, a battery coupled to the housing, a microprocessor, and a plurality of controls. The microprocessor is in operational communication with the battery and a brake system of the bicycle. The plurality of controls is coupled to the housing and is in operational communication with each of the microprocessor, the front lighting array, and the rear lighting array.
VEHICLE WITH MOBILE ELECTRONIC DEVICE CHARGER
The present invention relates to a vehicle including an adjustable charging mount for a mobile electronic device where the mobile electronic device provides performance information related to operation of the vehicle.
Devices and methods for synchronized signaling of the positions of moving pedestrians or vehicles
Position indicating devices, systems and methods useable for signaling the positions of pedestrians or vehicles.
Lighting modes for an electric bicycle
Various systems and methods associated with protecting a rider of an electric bicycle from hazards while riding their bicycle are described. In some embodiments, the systems and methods enhance the safety of the rider in response to current detected conditions surrounding the rider, such as conditions associated with the route or path traveled by the rider, other vehicles within the route or path traveled by the rider, potential hazards within the route or path traveled by the rider, environmental conditions through which the rider is traveling, and so on.

Electrically power assisted bicycle with ambient light controlled headlight
An electrically power assisted bicycle includes an electric motor that generates an assist force assisting human power of a rider, a detachable battery that supplies electric power to the electric motor, a headlight, and an operation panel including a display that displays information, a power button that turns on or off the electrically power assisted bicycle, an illuminance sensor that outputs a signal in accordance with received light, and a controller configured or programmed to control the headlight to be on or off. The power button and the illuminance sensor are located close to each other on or in the operation panel. After a predetermined time period passes after the controller is activated by the power button being pressed by the rider, the controller starts controlling the headlight to be on or off in accordance with the signal output by the illuminance sensor.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING ELECTRONIC DEVICE
An electronic device comprises a wireless transmitter and an operation device. The operation device comprises a base, a brake lever, operation portions and an electronic controller. The base is to be removably attached to a handlebar. The operation portions includes first, second and third operation portions. The first operation portion is arranged on the base. The second and third operation portions are arranged adjacent to the brake lever and are disposed between the brake lever and the handlebar. At least one of the operation portions includes a lever. At least one of the operation portions includes a button. The electronic controller is configured to transmit an operation signal to the wireless transmitter upon operation of any of the operation portions to control at least one bicycle component that is any one of a shifting device, a brake device, an adjustable seatpost, a suspension and a drive unit.
