PORTABLE ACTIVE LIGHTING DEVICE OR SAME INSTALLED ON A BICYCLE
The active lighting device of a bicycle includes a first optical system with a first light source for long-distance illumination, controlled by a control unit, and a second optical system with a second light source for short-distance illumination, controlled by the control unit. It includes a light sensor for determining the light intensity of a location in which the bicycle is situated and allows the control unit to adapt the light intensity of the light sources, if they are activated and if the ambient light intensity is below a determined light threshold. Moreover, a speed sensor is provided for determining the speed of the bicycle in use on a path, so that the control unit controls the activation of the first light source from at least one determined speed threshold. An orientation detector is provided for orienting the light sources depending on a curve travelled by the bicycle in use.
Electronic device and method for controlling electronic device
An electronic device controls at least one bicycle component in correspondence with operation of an operation device. The electronic device includes a receiver, a memory, a first wireless transmitter, a memory and an electronic controller. The receiver receives operation information corresponding to the operation of the operation device. The memory stores an actuation command of the bicycle component in correspondence with the operation information. The electronic controller receives the operation information and transmits the actuation command corresponding to the received operation information from the first wireless transmitter. The memory is configured to allow the actuation command stored in correspondence with the operation information to be changed.
Handlebar grip set
A handlebar grip set has two turn signals, two operating kits, and two grips. Each of the two turn signals is detachable and has a base, an illumination module assembled to the base, and a housing assembled to the base and covering the illumination module. Each operating kit has a button module electrically connected to the illumination module of a corresponding one of the turn signals. Each one of the grips surrounds the base of a corresponding one of the turn signals. The base of each turn signal is configured to be assembled to one of two ends of a handlebar. The turn signals of the handlebar grip set provide sufficient warning function when a bicycle equipped with the handlebar grip set is turning.
AUTOMATIC LIGHT SIGNALING BICYCLE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
An automatic light signaling bicycle communication system includes a wireless relay module, a light module, and an external master device. The wireless relay module includes a relay processing unit and a relay communication unit. The relay processing unit controls the relay communication unit to wirelessly communicate with the external master device according to a simplified network protocol. When the relay processing unit receives a brake command through the relay communication unit according to the simplified network layer protocol file, the relay processing unit generates a relay brake command and broadcasts the relay brake command to a light communication unit of the light module according to MAC protocol, allowing a light processing unit of the light module to light up a brake light automatically. The light module only requires a low cost RF receiver chip for receiving broadcasted commands, rather than requiring an expensive chip for handling network communications.
Handle with a retractable device for indicating a change in direction
A safety handle designed to be fitted onto a tubular element of an item of mobile equipment, comprises at least one signaling means. The handle further comprises a radio frequency communication module and an electronic circuit for controlling the communication module by a signal of a change in direction.
Illuminated safety harness
The illuminated safety harness is a garment. The illuminated safety harness is worn as personal protective equipment. The illuminated safety harness is configured for use with a bicycle. The bicycle is further defined with a handlebar. A rider rides the bicycle. The illuminated safety harness provides a plurality of illuminated traffic control signals that indicates an intention to change the direction of travel of the bicycle. The plurality of illuminated traffic control signals are wirelessly controlled. The wireless control of the plurality of illuminated traffic control signals is accessible from the handlebar of the bicycle. The illuminated safety harness comprises a harness and a safety circuit. The harness forms the garment worn by the rider. The safety circuit generates the plurality of illuminated traffic control signals. The portion of the safety circuit mounts on the handlebar. A portion of the safety circuit mounts on the harness.
ELECTRICAL BICYCLE OPERATING SYSTEM
An electrical bicycle operating system includes a first switch unit that includes a first switch group configured to be mounted to a bicycle on a first side of a central longitudinal axis of the bicycle, the first switch group including a first switch and a second switch having a first position and a second position in the first switch group. Also included is a second switch unit that includes a second switch group configured to be mounted to the bicycle on an opposite side from the first side, the second switch group including a third switch having a same position as the first position. A control unit is configured to generate a first signal where the first switch unit is actuated, a second signal where the second switch unit is actuated, and a third signal where the first switch unit and the second switch unit are actuated concurrently.
Method of and apparatus for operating a brake light and turn signal
The present invention provides an apparatus for and method of bicycle signaling. The present invention provides an ease of setup on a wide variety and style of bicycle handlebars providing a magnet disposed on a bicycle brake lever and a control unit comprising sensors, also disposed on the bicycle handlebars. The present invention provides a wireless signaling apparatus and a wireless method of signaling. The present invention provides an apparatus and method for easy configuration and pairing of a bicycle light system. The present invention system provides for a plurality of lights that are configured and able to function independently in different patterns, including but not limited to a left turn signal, and a right turn signal, thus providing a wide array of pattern visibility and patterns that motor vehicle drivers are expecting to see.
