A controller (60) and the control method according to the present invention control operation of a straddle-type vehicle (100) in which anti-lock brake control for a front wheel (3) and anti-lock brake control for a rear wheel (4) are executed. An acquisition section of the controller (60) acquires an anti-lock brake actuation state showing whether the anti-lock brake control is actuated for any of the wheels (3, 4). A determination section of the controller (60) determines a threshold value on the basis of the anti-lock brake actuation state. An output section of the controller (60) outputs an emergency braking signal command in the case where deceleration of the straddle-type vehicle (100) is higher than the threshold value.

The sound-making portion including a lever, a spring, a striking portion, and a metal portion, wherein the metal portion covers the lever, the spring, and the striking portion. The illumination device includes a power pack, at least one adaptor body, and at least one attachment portion. The power pack having at least one wire, a flexible button cap, a body housing, and circuit board with a switch. The at least one wire including a plurality of light sources. The at least one attachment portion including a clip portion providing for the installation of the at least one adaptor body to the bicycle spokes. The illumination device also includes a holder for the installation of the power pack to the bicycle wheel. Further, the illumination device may include a tubular body located in the internal cavity of the at least one adaptor body.

A lighting device is attached to a vehicle and includes a forward facing visible light source that emits visible light in a forward direction relative to the vehicle. The lighting device further includes a rearward facing ultraviolet light source that emits ultraviolet light in a rearward direction relative to the vehicle, such that a reflecting material of an object, which is not illuminated by the visible light source, is illuminated by the ultraviolet light source. In the method, an environment of the motorcycle is acquired and free spaces in the environment that are usable by the motorcycle are detected, and a change in the free spaces and a trajectory of the motorcycle are predicted and evaluated for conflicts, and in a conflict case, a conflict-free alternative trajectory is ascertained for the motorcycle and communicated to a rider of the motorcycle.
