The sound-making portion including a lever, a spring, a striking portion, and a metal portion, wherein the metal portion covers the lever, the spring, and the striking portion. The lever may include a magnet. The illumination portion including a cover portion, an electrical circuit, a switch, a light emitting source and a power source. Actuation of the lever of the sound-making portion results in the activation of the light emitting source of the illumination portion resulting in the concurrent emission of light and sound.

A lighting device is attached to a vehicle and includes a forward facing visible light source that emits visible light in a forward direction relative to the vehicle. The lighting device further includes a rearward facing ultraviolet light source that emits ultraviolet light in a rearward direction relative to the vehicle, such that a reflecting material of an object, which is not illuminated by the visible light source, is illuminated by the ultraviolet light source. A control device is connected to the light sources, and is configured to turn the light sources on and off. A light sensor is connected to the control device and is configured to sense ambient light and to provide a signal to the control device. The control device is configured to turn the ultraviolet light source on and off responsive to the signal of the light sensor.

The present disclosure describes various aspects of crank-based lighting, which may improve visibility of pedal-based vehicles or conveyances. In some aspects, a light generating apparatus includes a crank interface and lighting system. The crank interface may facilitate mounting of the apparatus to a crank (or crankarm) of a bicycle or other pedal-based vehicle. The lighting system may generate or emit light based on information indicating an angle, movement, and/or position of the crank, such as to cause light emission to emulate or project leg movement of a rider.

The present disclosure describes various aspects of crank-based lighting, which may improve visibility of pedal-based vehicles or conveyances. In some aspects, a light generating apparatus includes a crank interface and lighting system. The crank interface may facilitate mounting of the apparatus to a crank (or crankarm) of a bicycle or other pedal-based vehicle. The lighting system may generate or emit light based on information indicating an angle, movement, and/or position of the crank, such as to cause light emission to emulate or project leg movement of a rider.

The driver stored in the front cover such that the driver is located at a position farther upward than the headlamp, farther rearward than a first virtual line extending in a up-and-down direction through a rear end of the headlamp in a front-to-rear direction of the vehicle, and farther rearward than a second virtual line extending in parallel with an axis of the front fork unit in the side view of the vehicle.

An illuminated handlebar grip for improving visibility of a cyclist by other motor vehicle operators. The illuminated handlebar grip includes an outer cover made of a resilient grip material, an illumination diffuser element carried within the outer cover, a light source, and, preferably, an internal grip element adapted for attachment to a handlebar assembly of a vehicle. The outer cover has a plurality of cut outs extending through a surface of the cover to at least partially expose the illumination diffuser element carried therein. The light source may be an LED or an EL material. The light source may be powered by an electrical system of the cycle or by a battery source carried in the grip. The light source may be controlled to vary in intensity or be operable between a steady and a flash mode.

Disclosed is an illumination device for use with spoked wheels, such as bicycle wheels, wherein the wheel includes a hub portion, a plurality of spokes, and a rim portion. The illumination device includes a power pack, at least one adaptor body, and at least one attachment portion. The power pack having at least one wire, a flexible button cap, a body housing, and circuit board with a switch. The at least one wire including a plurality of light sources. The at least one attachment portion including a clip portion providing for the installation of the at least one adaptor body to the bicycle spokes. The illumination device also includes a holder for the installation of the power pack to the bicycle wheel. Further, the illumination device may include a tubular body located in the internal cavity of the at least one adaptor body.
