A storage assembly, including hard cases and associated mounting brackets, for a bicycle, such as an electric cargo bicycle, is described. The storage assembly, in some embodiments, includes hard case panniers, rear boxes, and other hard case storage apparatus. Further, the storage assembly can include mounting brackets, such as brackets configured to mount various hard cases to a rear rack of the cargo bicycle in various configurations.

An apparatus for securing a shoulder strap of a backpack to a bicycle luggage rack includes a first capture member and a second capture member opposite and facing the first capture member with each having an elongate, linear configuration and having opposed ends. Respective ends of the capture members may be selectively coupled together with a pair of fasteners and selectively loosened or tightened such that the capture members are displaced from one another at the loosened configuration and are compressed toward one another at the tightened configuration so as to sandwich the backpack strap therebetween. An attachment portion, such as a clip, is attached to a backside of the first capture member and configured to removably attach to a bicycle luggage rack.

A frame for a collapsible and deployable backpack can include a plurality of struts and straps configured for carrying luggage. The struts can be attachable to form a backpack frame. The straps can be attachable to the struts for wearability. The luggage can be in the form of two or more independent pieces of luggage attachable to the frame, for example, two or more pannier bags. The frame can include upright struts bent into a bowed configuration. The bowed struts can be oriented in a splayed apart configuration to provide racking resistance. In a collapsed configuration, the backpack can have an overall width that is less than a pedal width of a bicycle, and optionally less than a width of a suspension portion of a bicycle.

A frame for a collapsible and deployable backpack can include a plurality of struts and straps configured for carrying luggage. The struts can be attachable to form a backpack frame. An accessory mounting fixture for a vehicle is provided. The accessory mounting fixture includes a fixture body connectable to a vehicle surface and having a substantially U-shape defining a frontal opening and adapted to receive an accessory portion. The accessory mounting fixture also includes a locking assembly adapted to selectively secure the accessory portion within the frontal opening. The locking assembly has a first lock member pivotally connected to the fixture body on a first side of the frontal opening and a second lock member pivotally connected to the fixture body on the second side of the frontal opening. The first and second locking members are operable between a closed position for confining the accessory portion within the frontal opening, and an open configuration. Positioning the first and second lock members in the closed position secures the accessory portion within the frontal opening.

In a pannier mounting structure, a pannier is mounted on a side portion in a vehicle widthwise direction of a motorcycle through a pannier stay. The pannier stay includes a first retaining portion and a second retaining portion beneath the first retaining portion. The pannier has a rear surface provided with a first retaining bag that opens downwards and a second retaining bag that is positioned below the first retaining bag and opens upwards. While the first retaining portion is inserted into the first retaining bag through an opening in a lower portion thereof, the second retaining portion is inserted into the second retaining bag through an opening in an upper portion thereof and is engaged within the second retaining bag.

A payload device capable of attaching to a host-bicycle and carrying a payload-bicycle or other cargo objects includes a back-section, a base, payload-securing components, and mounting-components. The back-section includes a vertically extending structure and the base includes a horizontally extending structure, and a bottom edge of the back-section is adjacent to a back edge of the base. The base has an elongated opening shaped and dimensioned to accommodate a wheel of the payload bicycle. The payload-securing components are capable of removably attaching the wheel of the payload bicycle or other cargo objects to the back-section. The mounting components are capable of removably attaching the payload device to the host bicycle.
