Motorized cycle
A vehicle for a person to ride on a ground surface includes a rigid frame that has front and rear ends and at least a seat on a top side of the frame. A steering mechanism disposed proximate the front end of the frame is adapted for allowing the person to steer a front wheel. A steering fork may include two lower fork members each selectively detachable from two upper fork members of the steering fork at two telescoping attachment arrangements that includes a front suspension arrangement. A rigid frame extension has a front end that is pivotally fixed proximate the rear end of the frame. The frame extension includes at least one rear wheel fixed with a rear end of the frame extension. A motor is fixed with the front wheel and is electrically connected with at least one battery and a throttle switch fixed with the steering mechanism.
Electric saddle type vehicle chassis
A motorcycle, or saddle type vehicle, is disclosed that may have at least one seat and at least two wheels, at least one hub electric motor. A large dry storage compartment may be positioned between the rider and steering mount. A rechargeable battery and battery management system may be located below the storage compartment in a battery housing, where the battery housing may be a structural component of the chassis. A rear electronics housing may be attached to and located behind the battery housing, and may contain major electrical components such as electric motor controller and contactors. Two structural members, or frame side rails, may form sides of the storage compartment and extend between the electronics housing and steering mount. The electronics housing may also connect to the battery housing such that the battery housing reinforces and strengthens the chassis, or structural frame.

Vehicle with an electric prime mover
A vehicle includes: an electric prime mover; a frame member acting as a load bearing member of the vehicle; and a structural member functionally connected to the frame member. The structural member is capable of supporting the electric prime mover rotatably. The electric prime mover includes a shaft fixedly mounted to the structural member and that is disposed substantially in a lateral direction of the vehicle. The shaft fixedly supports a stationary member of the electric prime mover and the shaft rotatably supports a rotating member of the electric prime mover. A cable assembly extends outward from the stationary member through a cable path defined by the shaft. The cable path includes a portion provided with a caulking member capable of securely holding the cable assembly thereat. The cable assembly includes an external sheath forming at least an outer periphery of the cable assembly.
