CONTRAST-ENHANCED GOLF CLUB HEADS
Golf club heads include white diffusing top surfaces to aid in club head alignment. Wood type club heads also include a dark diffusing club face so that a crown/face border is emphasized. Scorelines in wood type clubs can be provided with an intermediate contrast surface, and can be displaced from club face center to accommodate player perception when confronted with a white diffusing crown. Putter heads can include dark diffusing alignment lines, and iron-type club heads can include white diffusing surfaces at a sole portion of a club face, at a top line, or a top portion of a club face.
Universal Lie-Balanced Putter System
A counter-balance grip system for a golf putter that allows for counter-balancing in the three degrees-of-freedom of relevant putter motion. A main balance-weight body is attached to the end of a putter shaft and allows for axial and radial asymmetric internal balance weighting about the putter shaft. The main balance-weight body has an upper balance-weight body and a lower balance-weight body. The lower balance-weight body is used to achieve the asymmetric internal balance weighting in both a single-grip option and a split-grip option; the upper balance-weight body also being used to achieve the asymmetric internal balance weighting in the split-grip option. Either a plurality of internal balancing weights could be used or the main balance-weight body could be machined asymmetrically. Each of the plurality of internal balancing weights has a different length, mass, and/or density, allowing for the dynamic balancing of the putter.
SUPPORTED IRON SET
The present invention is directed to a set of golf clubs comprising long irons, mid irons and short irons. The irons have a progressive horizontal CG location. Preferably, the long and mid irons have a face stabilizing bar and back panel and the CG is located between about 1 mm and 3 mm towards the hosel and the CG in the short irons is located between about 3 mm and 4 mm toward the hosel. Further the long and mid irons irons can have a plurality of apertures in the face stabilizing bar and/or the back wall.
GOLF CLUB WITH COEFFICIENT OF RESTITUTION FEATURE
A golf club head includes a face; a body, the body defining an interior and an exterior; the face and the body together defining a center of gravity, the center of gravity being proximate the face; a coefficient of restitution feature defined in the body; wherein the coefficient of restitution feature defines a gap in the body. A golf club head includes a face and a golf club body; the face and the golf club body defining a center of gravity, the center of gravity defined a distance, Δ.sub.z, from a ground plane as measured along a z-axis, the center of gravity defined a distance, CG.sub.y, from the center face along the y-axis.
GOLF CLUB AND WEIGHT PIECE FOR GOLF CLUB
A golf club includes a club shaft having a first end, a second end, and an inner peripheral surface defining an inner space of the club shaft, and a weight piece installed on a first end side of the club shaft. The weight piece includes an insertion portion located in the inner space, and an engagement portion located outside the club shaft to engage the first end. The insertion portion includes a first portion and a second portion. The first portion has an outer diameter smaller than the first inner diameter. The second portion includes a large diameter portion having an outer diameter larger than the first inner diameter in a state before being placed in the club shaft, and at least one rigidity-lowered portion that elastically deforms the second portion so that the outer diameter of the large diameter portion becomes smaller when receiving an external force.

SET OF GRIP BANDS FOR HANDLES
A grip assembly comprising a sheet comprising a plurality of grips for handles, said plurality of grips being contained in the sheet itself, such that at least one grip is adapted to be separated from the sheet through at least one weakening line when said sheet receives a force greater than the breaking stress of said weakening line.
Golf club having a damping element for ball speed control
A golf club head including a striking face, a periphery portion, and a support arm spaced from the rear surface of the striking face, a first damping element residing between the support arm and the rear surface of the striking face, wherein the first damping element comprises a front surface in contact with the rear surface of the striking face and a rear surface in contact with the support arm, wherein the periphery portion comprises a sole, and a second damping element located between the first damping element and the sole, a front portion of the second damping element in contact with the rear surface of the striking face, a rear surface of the second damping element in contact with the support arm.
Golf club and weight member for golf club
A golf club includes a tubular club shaft having first and second ends, a weight member, and a grip attached to the club shaft. The weight member includes a weight main body made of metal and a cover formed by rubbery elastomer. The weight main body includes a first end face, a second end face, and an outer side face extending between the first and second end faces. The cover includes a side cover portion covering an entire region of the outer side face of the weight main body, a first end cover portion covering the first end face, and a flange. The weight member is installed to the club shaft in such a manner that the side cover portion is located in a space of the club shaft and that the flange engages with the first end of the club shaft outwardly of the club shaft.
Method of Manufacturing Golf Club Head Having Stress-Reducing Features
A method of manufacturing a golf club head with a plurality of stiffening members proximate the face, and particularly solid rods or a plate with one or more cutouts, is disclosed herein. The method includes the steps of preparing a wax of a golf club head body having at least one through-hole, a hollow interior, and at least one receiving pocket, preparing waxes of one or more stiffening members, inserting the wax of the stiffening members into the through-hole and seating its opposite end in the receiving pocket, bonding each of the stiffening members to the body with an adhesive material to form a combined wax mold, and casting a golf club head from the combined wax mold.
