Adjustable flex rod connection for ball bats and other sports implements
A ball bat includes a barrel portion, a handle portion, and a joint connecting the handle portion to the barrel portion. In some embodiments, the joint includes a releasable connector configured to releasably connect the barrel portion to the handle portion. In some embodiments, the joint includes two releasable connectors to releasably connect the barrel portion to the handle portion. The ball bat may include a flexible rod element positioned between the two releasable connectors. The rod element may include an elastomeric material. In some embodiments, the ball bat may further include a safety connector between the barrel portion and the handle portion or a releasable connector may include a threaded connection to resist release of the releasable connector. In some embodiments, the joint may include a rotatable element for adjusting flex.
SPORTS RACQUET AND REMOVABLE WRIST STRAP
A sports racquet and removable wrist strap system may include a head, a handle coupled to the head, a flexible tether extending from an end of the handle, a wrist strap, and a wrist strap connector releasably connecting the wrist strap to the flexible tether. The wrist strap connector includes a collar and an insert. The collar is connected to one of the wrist strap and the flexible tether and has an interior having a side opening and a side slot extending from the side opening. The insert is connected to the other of the wrist strap and the flexible tether. The insert is insertable into the interior through the side opening while portions of the wrist strap or the flexible tether are insertable into the interior through the side slot.
Golf club head having adjustable stress-reducing structures
A golf club head comprising a body and a plurality of stiffening members, the tension or compression of which can be adjusted, is disclosed herein. The body comprises a face section, a sole section, and a crown section or a return section, and also defines a hollow interior. Each of the plurality of stiffening members is at least partially disposed within the hollow interior, and extends from the crown section or return section to the sole section to reduce stresses placed on the face during impact with a golf ball. The compression or tension of the stiffening members may be adjusted to affect the stresses experienced by the golf club head upon impact with a golf ball.
WEIGHT ADJUSTABLE SPORTS EQUIPMENT SYSTEM, EQUIPMENT, AND WEIGHTED COMPONENTS THEREFOR
A weight adjustable pickleball paddle system includes a main body including opposing playable faces. A handle is attached to the main body. A component receptacle is located in a lateral edge of the main body of the paddle and between the playable faces. A weighted component is dimensioned to be accommodated within the component receptacle.
Golf club head
A golf club head having a cavity therein comprises a wall at least a part of which is formed as a convexo-concave wall portion. The convexo-concave wall portion is composed of convexed portions repeatedly arranged in a first direction and a second direction intersecting the first direction, and concaved portions formed between the convexed portions. Each of the convexed portions includes at least one first protrusion extending in the first direction and at least one second protrusion extending in the second direction.
GOLF CLUB HEAD WITH IMPROVED INERTIA PERFORMANCE
A golf club head that is capable improving on the inertia properties of a golf club head all while also improving the Center of Gravity (CG) location is disclosed herein. More specifically, the golf club head in accordance with the present invention achieves a relative low Moment of Inertia (MOI) about the Z-axis (MOI-Z) as well as a relatively low MOI about the Shaft-axis (MOI-SA), all combined with a high MOI about the X and Y-axis (MOI-X and MOI-Y) and maintaining a consistently and relatively low CG location measured along a direction tangent to the hosel axis along the X-Y plane (CG-B).
