GOLF CLUB HAVING AN ADJUSTABLE WEIGHT ASSEMBLY
A golf club head includes: a body including: a striking face having a lower leading edge and an upper topline edge opposite to the lower leading edge, a sole extending from the lower leading edge, a back portion coupled between the sole and the upper topline edge; a recessed channel at least partially formed in the back portion; and a weight assembly including: a weight at least partially disposed within the recessed channel and configured to move therein; a cover adapted to releasably secure the weight within the recessed channel; and a fastener coupling the cover to the body and extending at least partially into the body at a position on the back portion between the recessed channel and the upper topline edge.
GOLF CLUB HEADS AND METHODS TO MANUFACTURE GOLF CLUB HEADS
Embodiments of golf club heads, golf clubs, and methods to manufacture golf club heads and golf clubs are generally described herein. In one example, a golf club head includes a body portion having an interior cavity, a ledge portion extending outward from a back wall of the body portion, a filler material comprising a rubber compound in the interior cavity, a first set of mass portions that is closer to a toe portion edge of the body portion than to a heel portion edge of the body portion, and a second set of mass portions that is closer to the heel portion edge than to the toe portion edge. A face portion is coupled to the body portion to enclose the interior cavity and includes at least one back groove located proximate to a perimeter edge of the face portion. Other examples and embodiments may be described and claimed.
GOLF CLUB HEADS AND METHODS TO MANUFACTURE GOLF CLUB HEADS
Embodiments of golf club heads, golf clubs, and methods to manufacture golf club heads and golf clubs are generally described herein. In one example, a golf club head includes a body portion having a face portion with a face perimeter edge defined by a face toe edge, a face heel edge, a face top edge, and a face sole edge. The face portion includes a first groove portion, a second groove portion, a third groove portion on the back surface of the face portion, and a face perimeter portion between the first groove portion and the face toe edge, between the second groove portion and the face top edge, and between the third groove portion and the face heel edge. The first groove portion is connected to the second groove portion, which is connected to the third groove portion. Other examples and embodiments may be described and claimed.
GOLF CLUB HEAD
A head includes a face portion, a sole portion, and an internal weight portion provided on an inner surface of the sole portion and located apart from the face portion. The internal weight portion includes a base portion, and a protruding portion protruding from the base portion toward a face side and located apart from the inner surface of the sole portion. The protruding portion is positioned on the face side with respect to the head center of gravity. A thickness of a toe-side part of the protruding portion and/or a thickness of a heel-side part of the protruding portion is greater than a thickness of a middle part of the protruding portion. Alternatively, a middle part of the protruding portion in a toe-heel direction is absent. The internal weight portion may be formed integrally with the sole portion, or may be a different member from the sole portion.
GOLF CLUB HAVING AN ADJUSTABLE WEIGHT ASSEMBLY
A golf club head includes a body including: a striking face and a sole; a recessed channel formed in the sole and having a first sidewall, wherein one or more dimples are formed in the first sidewall; a weight assembly including: a weight at least partially disposed within the recessed channel, a cover adapted to releasably secure the weight within the recessed channel, and a fastener coupling the cover to the body, wherein the cover is positionable in at least: an unlocked configuration whereby the cover is raised at least partially out of the recessed channel; and a locked configuration whereby the cover is at least partially disposed within the recessed channel and a gap between the sole and a portion of an exterior surface of the cover proximal to the first sidewall is within a range of 1.0 mm to 1.5 mm.
GOLF CLUB HAVING AN ADJUSTABLE WEIGHT ASSEMBLY
A set of golf club heads includes a first golf club head having a first loft and a second golf club head having a second loft greater than the first loft. The first golf club head includes a first striking face defining a first striking face plane and a first weight assembly including: a first weight, a first cover, and a first fastener. The second golf club head includes a second striking face defining a second striking face plane and a second weight assembly including: a second weight, a second cover, and a second fastener. The first and second fasteners are respectively controllably movable along first and second fastener axes, and a smallest angle between the second fastener axis and the second striking face plane is smaller than a smallest angle between the first fastener axis and the first striking face plane.
