COUPLED SUSPENSION SYSTEM FOR BICYCLES
20210229775 · 2021-07-29 ·

A bicycle comprising a frame; a handlebar assembly attached to an upper steering tube of the frame in such a way that at least the relative rotation between the two with respect to an upper axis is allowed, but the relative displacements between both in the directions perpendicular to the upper axis are restricted; a fork attached to a lower steering tube of the frame so that it has the same degrees of freedom relative to the lower axis between the fork and the lower steering tube as the degrees of freedom relative to the upper axis between the handlebar assembly and the upper steering tube; and a means for rotation transmission for transmitting at least partially a rotation of the handlebar assembly with respect to the upper tube into a rotation of the fork with respect to the lower steering tube.

Suspension handlebar assembly and stem for bicycle

A bicycle handlebar stem or stem/handlebar assembly has an inclined linear travel approximately 45 degrees from horizontal. This inclined path mimics a rider's natural arm inclination and pitching moment. 45 degrees is nearly ideal for most dropped bar road bicycles but different style bicycles may have an ideal angle between 30 and 60 degrees.

The damping device according to the invention includes a pressing member, a shock absorption member and an adjustment member. The shock absorption member is disposed in an accommodation room defined between the pressing member and the handlebar seat. The shock absorption member are arranged in contact with the pressing member and the handlebar seat, so that when a rider is riding a bicycle on an uneven road causing the front fork tube to shake up and down, the invention disclosed herein would absorb the shock force as the pressing member presses against the shock absorbing member. The adjustment member is arranged to extend through the handlebar seat into the pressing member and contact the shock absorption member, so that the strain rate of the damping device can be adjusted by the adjustment member, thereby performing various degrees of shock absorption effects.

SUSPENSION ASSEMBLY AND BICYCLE HAVING A SUSPENSION ASSEMBLY

A bicycle includes a frame, a suspension assembly and a steering assembly. The frame includes a head tube that rotatably receives a front fork assembly. A steerer tube extends axially away from a fork crown of the front fork assembly. The suspension assembly includes an upper tubular support longitudinally slidable relative to a lower tubular support. The upper and lower supports receive a first positive biasing means and a first negative biasing means. The lower and upper supports are respectively connected to the steerer tube and a stem of the steering assembly such that the upper support slides longitudinally relative to the lower support adjacent the stem and above the fork crown.
