Steering apparatus with forward extended fork legs
A steering apparatus with forward extended fork legs includes left and right fork legs that extend from a wheel axle all the way up to a handlebar. Top fork portions support a handlebar in a more forward location. A mid-fork portion of each fork leg is positioned in front of the steering column to provide more clearance room for the rider's knees. e top ends of the fork legs are positioned a forward distance in front of the vertical axis defined by the steering column. Each fork leg may be tilted forward with respect to the steering column and may also include a forward bend to direct portions of each fork leg towards the front.

The handlebar assembly consists of an elongated handlebar having a plurality of motorcycle control components pre-mounted thereto, including indicator lights, throttle controls, gear change controls, turn signal controls and the like. A riser is mounted to a hub portion of the handlebar assembly which is mountable to the riser mount of the motorcycle by a pair of elongated bolts. A plurality of control cables and wires extend from the various motorcycle control components mounted on the handlebar assembly through the handlebar and out of the hub portion. The handlebar assembly is configured to be quickly attached or removed from the motorcycle by means of the elongated pair of elongated bolts.

A quick connect handlebar assembly for a motorcycle is disclosed. The handlebar assembly consists of an elongated handlebar having a plurality of motorcycle control components pre-mounted thereto, including indicator lights, throttle controls, gear change controls, turn signal controls and the like. A riser is mounted to a hub portion of the handlebar assembly which is mountable to the riser mount of the motorcycle by a pair of elongated bolts. A plurality of control cables and wires extend from the various motorcycle control components mounted on the handlebar assembly through the handlebar and out of the hub portion. The handlebar assembly is configured to be quickly attached or removed from the motorcycle by means of the elongated pair of elongated bolts.

The footboard allows the user to selectively ride on the apparatus or to manually assist the movement of the apparatus by push-kicking.

A stowable steering column for a vehicle comprising a fork steerer tube including a fork; a base coupled to the fork steerer tube; a steering tube slidably received within the base and the fork steerer tube, the steering tube including an upper terminal end and a lower portion; a handlebar assembly coupled to the upper terminal end of the steering tube. The maximum effective length of the steering tube is greater than the effective length of the fork steerer tube and base and the steering tube is slidable into different axial positions relative to the base and fork steerer tube to facilitate different handle bar heights for riding and the steering tube is slidable downwards so that the handlebar assembly approaches the base and substantially all of the steering tube is stowed within or below the fork steerer tube for at least one of transport and storage.
