System for Pitching Sports Balls
A system for delivering balls to each of two players playing on opposite sides of a field includes a remote control unit worn or placed on each of the two players, each remote control unit configured, upon activation of a particular player, to transmit a wireless signal that identifies a location of the particular player. A ball pitching machine includes a housing configured to receive and hold the balls, at least one wheel, a ball shooting mechanism that receives the balls and shoots one of the balls at a time; and a controller that includes a position-locator, the controller configured to receive and process the signal, direct positioning of the ball shooting mechanism so as to face the player that sent the signal and shoot one of the balls in a direction of the player's position, in accordance with the signal received from the remote control unit.
Multisport space for the practice of goal sports and net sports
The multisport space includes a plurality of different fields for goal sports and net sports. There is a first square or rectangular area for goal sports delimited by a vertical wall. The first goal sports area has a goal sports field in which the goals are vertical and extend from ground level. There is a goal sports field in which the goals are horizontal and placed at a certain height. The panels of the vertical wall form nets for a plurality of net sports fields arranged on either side of the panels of the vertical wall. Extensions of panels, leading from their respective implantation axes, also form nets for net sports fields.
MULTI-SPORT AND MULTI-COURT STRUCTURE CAPABLE OF AUTOMATICALLY COLLECTING AND SUPPLYING BALL
The present invention proposes a court, which is a half- or full-court in which ball sports, such as soccer (penalty kicks), foot volleyball, volleyball, and basketball (33 basketball), can be played. The court allows balls to be automatically and rapidly supplied in the case where it takes time to resume a game, such as a case where a game is replayed or a case where a ball is out according to the characteristics of each type of sport, or in the case where serve-reception practice is required, and also allows balls to be naturally collected and lifted because the court is inclined and allows the balls to be automatically classified according to the types of balls and to be supplied to the court.
GAME NET
A game net for playing a game involving hitting an object back-and-forth between players located on opposite sides of the net. The game net has a netting or panel that is supportable on a frame or otherwise above a ground surface and is movable from location to location. The netting or panel has an opening or window formed completely therethrough to provide passage of the object through the netting or panel when hit by one or more players located on opposite sides of the netting or panel. With the game net, players must direct the object more accurately through the window with a higher degree of precision than what is required to pass an object over existing game nets.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR TRACKING A PROJECTILE
An apparatus comprising a practice device for practice of hitting a tennis ball includes a server configured for serving the tennis ball to a user, a net disposed to intercept a flight of the tennis ball after the tennis bell has been hit by the user using a racket and to direct the captured tennis ball back towards the server to be served again to the user, an image detector configured to observe the tennis ball as the tennis ball hurtles towards the net, and a processor. The processor determines, based at least in part on image frames received from the image detector, data indicative of the tennis ball's virtual landing spot. This virtual landing spot is an estimate of where the tennis ball would have landed on an opposing court had the tennis ball not been intercepted by the net.
TENNIS LET CALLING SYSTEM AND METHOD USING BALL FLIGHT CHARACTERISTICS
This disclosure relates to a let calling system and method, which is configured to determine that a let has occurred based on ball flight characteristics, as opposed to, for example, monitoring for changes in the net. In an example method, following a serve of a tennis ball, the method indicates that contact between the tennis ball and a tennis net has occurred when a flight characteristic of the tennis ball changes by a predetermined threshold amount in an area adjacent the tennis net.
A DEMARCATION INSTALLATION HAVING TWO MAIN CONNECTORS
The disclosure relates to a demarcation installation comprising a first main connector configured to connect together, first, second, third, and fourth connection elements, a second main connector configured to connect together fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth connection elements, a first bow and a second bow respectively including a first fastening portion and a second fastening portion, a first secondary connector configured to connect together the first and sixth connection elements and the first bow, a second secondary connector configured to connect together the second and fifth connection elements and the second bow, and a link extending between said fastening portions, the first and second main connectors extending on either side of a vertical plane containing the link.
TRUSS-FRAME SPORTS NET SYSTEM
A sports net support system includes a first end post, a second end post and a plurality of truss segments configured for coupling therebetween. The first end post includes an inferior end and a superior end with a first outside base member provided to the inferior end of the first end post. The second end post has an inferior end and a superior end and a second outside base member is provided to the inferior end of the second post. One or more of the truss segments include an inferior span, a superior span and a plurality of struts each extending between the inferior span and the superior span. A reel is configured for winding a top strand of a net suspended between the first and second end posts.
VOLLEYBALL UPRIGHT AND ASSOCIATED ASSEMBLIES WITH AN EXTENSION POLE OR A NET
An upright configured such that the widest portions of the upright are adapted to be in line with a net line tension. An upright may also be configured such that its flat inner sides are adapted to be substantially perpendicular to a net line tension, which may also space the thinnest portions of the upright away from a net line tension. Furthermore, an upright may have a sloped top surface and an improved pin connection with an inner extension pole. As a result of any or all of these features, exemplary embodiments of an upright, an associated assembly with an extension pole and/or a net, and a related assembly method may provide improved resistance to net line tension.
