An apparatus comprising a practice device for practice of hitting a tennis ball includes a server configured for serving the tennis ball to a user, a net disposed to intercept a flight of the tennis ball after the tennis bell has been hit by the user using a racket and to direct the captured tennis ball back towards the server to be served again to the user, an image detector configured to observe the tennis ball as the tennis ball hurtles towards the net, and a processor. The processor determines, based at least in part on image frames received from the image detector, data indicative of the tennis ball's virtual landing spot. This virtual landing spot is an estimate of where the tennis ball would have landed on an opposing court had the tennis ball not been intercepted by the net.

Multi-shooter basketball rebounding devices and systems are provided herein. An example freestanding basketball rebounding apparatus can include an upper frame assembly configured to rebound shot basketballs to an orifice. The upper frame assembly can include upper frame arms and a collapsible-extensible netting configured to couple to the upper frame arms to form an upwardly and downwardly opened funnel shaped enclosure that directs the shot basketballs to the orifice. The apparatus can also include a bottom support frame assembly configured to collect the shot basketballs from the orifice. The bottom support frame assembly can include a ball catch basket configured to receive and hold multiple basketballs and bottom frame legs configured to be adjustable to adjust a height of one or more components of the apparatus. The apparatus can further include a connecting component configured to connect components of the upper frame assembly to the bottom support frame assembly.

A paddle ball game includes a court defined by a base with an action surface and a net supported by poles extending upward and outward from the action surface. The game is played with opposing players that strike the ball with a paddle into the court for the other player to hit until one player misses the ball or the ball fails to rebound out of the court.

A consumer apparatus that golfers of any level may use to practice their putting stroke mainly in an indoor environment. The putting practice device requires the user to propel the golf ball on top of a set of parallel rails up a slope and into one of different cup holes. Each hole has a door which may be opened and/or closed. The doors also have rails that let the golf ball continue up the slope to the hole of the user's choice. This lets the user practice hitting different lengths of putts in a short space.

A soccer training device and system includes a generally horizontal and planar platform and at least one sloped soccer ball collection trough provided generally around a perimeter of the platform. A segmented cage is provided generally at and around outer bounds of, and vertically above, the platform. At least one sensored gate includes at least one soccer ball impact curtain provided above the at least one soccer ball collection trough to direct soccer balls into the trough, and at least one arrangement of sensors to sense presence of the soccer balls that are impacting the at least one curtain. A ball thrower sequentially receives the soccer balls from the silo, to sequentially deliver the soccer balls to a player on the platform. A golf putting training device with a base and a plurality of posts extending upwardly from the base is provided. The plurality of posts may be positioned on a diameter of a circle and the diameter may be generally equal to a golf hole diameter. A distance between at least two of the plurality of posts is less than the golf hole diameter and thereby provides a narrow opening for a golf ball to roll through. A pair of sleeves may be positioned on a pair of adjacent posts such that the narrow opening for the golf ball to roll through is reduced. Also, an elastic member may extend between two posts and across the narrow opening for the golf ball to roll through such that a golf ball putted towards the narrow opening is redirected when it is rolls into the elastic member.

A hockey puck return target system includes a body extending from a top to a bottom and from a first side to a second side, the body having a curved positioned near the bottom to facilitate puck return; a cover positioned substantially in front of the body, the cover having openings extending through a thickness of the cover; the openings are configured to receive the hockey puck and facilitate entry of the hockey puck into the body; one or more straps attached to the body and to secure the body to a hockey goal.

A training system includes a launching device house a computer electrically connected to a mechanical hopper and a plunger disposed within a casing sized to launch a lacrosse ball. The casing is structured and arranged to be movably connected to the housing such that at least one of a launch angle, speed, direction, distance and spin can all be selectively chosen by a user. At least one sensor is designed to be placed onto at least one of a player, the lacrosse ball, or a lacrosse net such that the sensors are structured and arranged to relay metric data to the computer in connection with a training program software operating on the computer, wherein the sensor(s) are wirelessly connected to the computer. A mobile device software application communicates with the computer for tracking the metric data and selective programming of the lacrosse ball tossing and training system by the player.

A sports ball rebound and boundary system including at least one portable post portion, configured to in use stand upright unsupported, and a barrier portion. The post portion and the barrier portion are configured for mutual releasable connection so that at least part of the barrier portion is extendible from the post portion to form a substantially vertically aligned planar barrier extending upwards from substantially ground level. The barrier portion is further configured to in use remain under sufficient tension to cause a ball or similar to rebound when striking the barrier.

A method of operating an electronic basketball scoreboard apparatus is disclosed. The method includes receiving a game parameter; operating a basketball game based upon the received game parameter; receiving a first indication of a ball passing through a first basketball hoop; receiving a second indication of a ball passing through a second basketball hoop; determining a first score of the basketball game based on the first indication from the first score sensor; determining a second score of the basketball game based on the second indication from the second score sensor; recording video of the basketball game; transmitting the recorded video; and transmitting the first score and the second score.
