SNOWMOBILE HAVING AN AIR-COOLED CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION
20210380201 · 2021-12-09 ·

A snowmobile includes a frame, a tunnel, a seat, an endless track, at least one ski, a handlebar, a cowling defining an engine compartment, an engine, a continuously variable transmission (CVT) operatively connecting the engine to the endless track, and a pulley guard assembly disposed over at least a portion of the CVT. The CVT includes a primary pulley, a secondary pulley, and an endless flexible member operatively connecting the primary pulley to the secondary pulley. The pulley guard assembly is disposed between the CVT and a lateral side of the cowling, and defines an air inlet. The air inlet fluidly communicates with a space defined between the pulley guard assembly and the lateral side. In some implementations, the cowling defines an air inlet. In some implementations, an air duct fluidly connects the air inlet of the cowling to the air inlet of the pulley guard assembly.

Vehicle with an actuator for adjusting a suspension assembly

A vehicle comprises a chassis, a seat, a motor, an endless drive track, and a rear suspension assembly supporting the endless drive track. The rear suspension assembly includes a left slide and right slide rail, at least one rear suspension arm being operatively pivotally connected to one of the slide rails and the chassis, with at least one coupling block being connected thereto. A rear stopper is connected to one of the slide rails, the rear stopper being disposed within a range of motion of the at least one coupling block in a first position and being disposed out of the range of motion of the at least one coupling block in a second position. The vehicle includes a control cable and an actuator, the rear stopper moving between the first and second positions when moving the actuator between first and second actuator positions.

Tapered short tunnel for a snowmobile

A tapered short tunnel for use on a tracked vehicle, such as a snowmobile. The tapered short tunnel has a tapered distal end having a width less than a width of an endless track used on the snowmobile. This tapered portion reduces the snowmobile from catching or grabbing snow in a snow trench, thereby enabling the snowmobile to traverse deeper snow.

SNOWMOBILE

A snowmobile has an air intake system integrated into the snowmobile body, and with air intake vents facing rearwardly towards the rider. The air intake system includes a plenum defined by a portion of the body and ducting extending within the body. The ducting is porous to allow the air input noise to be dissipated within the engine compartment. The snowmobile further comprises couplings which may be realigned to accommodate wear. A frame coupler allows multiple differently configured frame tubes to be connected to the tunnel. The chassis of the snowmobile includes a casing for receiving the gears which drive the belt.

Exhaust system for a vehicle

An exhaust system for a vehicle including a deep snow exhaust outlet defined by a driveline structural member of the vehicle. If the vehicle includes a turbo charger and an exhaust silencer, the turbocharger and the exhaust silencer are coupled together without exhaust piping therebetween.

MOTORCYCLE CONVERSION KIT
20220161894 · 2022-05-26 ·

A motorcycle conversion kit for a three wheeled motorcycle wherein the conversion kit of the present invention is operable to transition the motorcycle so as to traverse across a snowy terrain. The conversion kit of the present invention includes a pair of ski assemblies that are operably secured to the front rotor assembly of the motorcycle. The ski assemblies include rotor movement inhibitors. A swing arm assembly is operably coupled to the frame and includes a front portion and a rear portion. The rear portion has rotatably mounted thereto a snow belt drive wheel. The show belt drive wheel is superposed a snow belt of a snow belt assembly wherein the snow belt assembly is secured to the frame of the motorcycle. The kit further includes a fuel cell bracket assembly having support members mounted on opposing sides of the frame and having a compartment rearward of the motorcycle.

Snow vehicle

Embodiments of the present disclosure describe a snow vehicle including an engine mounted on a frame, a drive track in contact with the frame, a drive train operatively interconnecting the engine with the drive track for delivering propulsive power to the drive track, a fork connected to the frame, one or more skis connected to the fork, a drop fork component positioned between a fork and handlebars, and an exhaust system. The drive train includes a continuously variable transmission (CVT) positioned within a CVT housing.

Electric snowmobile

An electric snowmobile that can reduce a load locally applied to a body frame is provided. The electric snowmobile includes a body frame, a right ski and a left ski, a track mechanism, a steering shaft, an electric motor, and a battery. The body frame includes a shaft support frame that rotatably supports the steering shaft, a front frame that extends forwardly and downwardly from the shaft support frame, and a rear frame that extends rearwardly and downwardly from the shaft support frame. The battery is supported by the front frame and the rear frame such that at least a portion of the battery is disposed in a region formed by a line connecting the front frame, the rear frame, a lower end of the front frame, and a lower end of the rear frame in a side view.

System For Attaching Accessories To A Snowmobile

A snowmobile including a chassis, a driver's seat mounted to the chassis, and an accessory. The accessory includes a first locking member and a second locking member disconnected from the first locking member. The first locking member and the second locking member are configured to couple the accessory to the chassis behind the driver's seat.

SNOW VEHICLE HEAT EXCHANGER SHIELD

A heat exchanger shield for a snowmobile, the heat exchanger comprising an elongated body having a pair of opposing legs, and a pair of engagement structures, one engagement structure formed at a distal end of a corresponding one of the legs, wherein the engagement structures are structured and operable to slidingly engage a corresponding shield retention guide formed in a snowmobile heat exchanger.
