COMBINATION TRIM TAB AND INTERCEPTOR FOR A MARINE VESSEL
A combination trim tab and interceptor comprises a housing and a trim tab pivotably coupled to the housing. An interceptor blade is reciprocatingly received by the housing. A cam is coupled to the trim tab and the interceptor blade. The cam is coupled to the trim tab by a link which applies a rotary force when the trim tab pivots relative to the housing. The cam is coupled to the interceptor blade such that the interceptor blade functions as a cam follower. An actuator actuates the trim tab to pivot relative to the housing. Pivoting of the trim tab results in the cam applying a force to the interceptor blade, causing the interceptor blade to reciprocate relative to the housing. The cam may be configured so a stroke of the interceptor blade and a stroke of the actuator are non-linear. The actuator may be an electromechanical linear actuator.
STRUCTURE FOR REDUCING THE DRAG OF A SHIP AND ITS APPLICATION
A structure for reducing the drag of a ship and its application thereof is provided. The structure for reducing the drag of a ship comprising at least one turbulence generator which is installed on the side surface between the widest section and the aft end or on the bottom surface between the deepest portion and the aft end of the ship. The arrangement of the turbulence generator can generate turbulence to reduce the drag of the ship, and thereby increase the speed of the ship or reduce fuel consumption as well.
Ships for navigating in icy waters with improved propulsive performance
Ships for navigating in icy waters are provided. Such ships include in the stern area a wedge which extends from bottom of the ship downwards transversely to the ship. The wedge may have a first surface inclined towards the bow and a second surface inclined towards stern with respect to a horizontal plane. These two surfaces can be connected to each other forming a lower edge of wedge. The wedge is at least partially arranged below waterline of the ship. The first inclined surface is dimensioned in such a way that in the case of forward motion, the first surface contacting the flow of water, generates a lift force in order to modify the longitudinal trim of the ship acting as a trim wedge. The second inclined surface also is shaped advantageously in the case of reverse motion in icy waters.
Water flow deflection device for a watercraft and methods of use
A water flow deflection device attached to a side of a watercraft to enhance the watercraft's wake. The device having a narrow, elongated base with two ends and a base width, the base aligned along the side of the watercraft when the device is attached to the watercraft. A deflector attached to the base between the two ends and having a face spanning between a leading end and an opposing end, the leading end extending outwardly from the base. The deflector face having a surface area configured to deflect water and a deflector width greater than the base width. The base removably attachable to the watercraft by a plurality of suction cup assemblies, wherein a greater number of suction cup assemblies located between the first end and the leading end of the deflector than between the second end and the leading end of the deflector.

Wake shaping apparatus and related technology
The invention provides an apparatus that attaches to a hull of a boat to disrupt water flow around the hull such that a wake created behind the boat is larger, differently positioned, and/or differently shaped. In some embodiments, the apparatus is removably attached to the hull by one or more suction cups. The wake shaping apparatus can include a blade and be configured such that an angular orientation of the blade is adjustable. In certain embodiments, the wake shaping apparatus is inflatable.
Dynamic Active Control System
A dynamic active control system configured for counteracting dynamic motions of a marine vessel. The system may include at least one sensor, a plurality of water engagement devices, and a software module.
Dynamic Active Control System with Total Pitch and Roll Control
A dynamic active control system configured for total pitch and roll control based on desired marine vessel pitch and roll angles. The system may include at least one sensor, a plurality of water engagement devices, at least one engine and a software module. At least one of water engagement device delta symmetrical deployment and engine trim adjustment facilitate pitch control and water engagement delta positions facilitate roll control.
Dynamic Active Control System with Gyroscopic Stabilizer
A dynamic active control system configured for counteracting dynamic motions of a marine vessel and yaw torque generated by a gyroscopic stabilizer by a change of the heading of the marine vessel. The system may include at least one sensor, a plurality of water engagement devices, a steering actuator, the gyroscopic stabilizer and a software module. Water engagement device delta positions in counteracting dynamic motions of the marine vessel may, potentially in combination with the gyroscopic stabilizer, introduce a change of the heading of the marine vessel that may be counteracted by a change in the steering angle.
