Disclosed is an indicating means that may be worn by a player or attached to a target when playing with non lethal projectiles to indicate when a player or a target has been struck by a projectile. The disclosed indicating means comprises a fabric containing sequins followed by a layer of padding beneath the fabric. Sequins are brushed into a first position at the start of game play. During game play, impact of a projectile onto the indicating means will be absorbed by the padding creating undulations radiating outwards from the point of impact causing the sequins to flip to a second position indicating that the player or target has been struck. The disclosed indicating means will work with any projectile, does not require an electrical charge to operate, is low cost, reusable, and durable.

A fluid detection and reaction apparatus that physically responds to fluid contact. An open-ended chamber with a hinged cover holds a compressed springy material. The cover/lid is subjected to pressure by the compressed springy material to open the chamber end. A latch is formed between the chamber cover and the rim of the chamber end to generate a holding force that keeps the cover in place. The latch is formed by a water-reactive material that is adapted to will fail or sever under stress when wet. When water contacts the water-reactive material, the material tears, allowing the cover to open the chamber and release the springy material.

Crashing Bridges is a game which consists of breaking magnet bonded objects with tossed bags. The flat objects, attached to a rectangular open frame, are tenuously connected in the middle of the frame by magnets attached to each corresponding object (e.g. 9 pairs). Crashing Bridges improves on the objective of other lawn games by making the rules of the game simpler to grasp and with no point totals to keep track of. The game is played by each player starting at an agreed upon distance apart (e.g. 10 feet) facing each other with a Crashing Bridges board by their side. Each player takes turns throwing corn or rice filled bags with the intent to break the bridges with the tossed bag, breaking the bond of the paired magnets and dropping the bridge. The player who knocks down all of the bridges first on the opposing players board wins.

A system and method are disclosed for assisting children in learning and improving upon aim in basketball and other sports. The system is adapted for use with a basketball rim secured to a post or a mount, the basketball rim having a recessed portion. The system includes a retainer ring for insertion within or securing to the recess in the basketball rim; and one or more targets secured to the retainer ring, each target comprising a head portion connected to a stem. The target may be a traditional bullseye, a cartoon character, a letter, a number, among many other examples. In use, a child aims for the target, which is positioned just above the basketball rim, as opposed to the rim itself. In so doing, the child positions the basketball for a successful basket and not a rebound off the rim. The system also is configurable for other youth sports, including soccer and baseball as examples.
