APPARATUS AND METHODS TO TRACK SPORT IMPLEMENTS
Examples are disclosed to track sport implements and/or objects of interest. An example apparatus includes a first coil to generate a first magnetic field having a first vertical component with a zero magnitude along a first line of interest and a second coil partially overlapped with the first coil, where the second coil is to generate a second magnetic field. The example apparatus also includes a sensor to measure a magnitude of the first magnetic field in the first line of interest and a processor to determine an object of interest has crossed the first line of interest based on the magnitude of the first magnetic field measured by the sensor.
Goal securement system and method
A goal securement device includes a ground engagement system, a ground securement system, a goal securement system, and a goal securement monitoring system. In an embodiment, the systems work cooperatively to secure a goal to the ground and monitor the status of such securement. Embodiments of each system and embodiments of various components, aspects, or features of each system are described.
Golfball rebounder
A golf swing training device is disclosed that will provide instant feedback on the position of the golfer's clubface at impact. The device consists of a rebounding surface enclosed, and attach to a frame with a safety net, a goal, a golf mat to provide a hitting surface, and a ribbon attached from the bottom of the frame to the golf mat for alignment and shot analysis. The rebounding surface faces opposite the goal such that when a practice golf ball hits it, it will land in the goal if struck properly. Its angle may be adjustable to accommodate different clubs for a proper rebound into the goal. The rebounder surface may be made from a foam material with a fabric covering that when struck, leaves an indention for visual target reference, repels the ball, and indicates ball spin by referencing where the ball landed inside or outside the goal.
INFRARED HOCKEY PUCK AND GOAL DETECTION SYSTEM
The two-part system includes a modified hockey puck and a set of goal units that can be mounted on a hockey goal. Within the puck are light sources, motion sensors, infrared transmitters, and a power source. Within the goal units are light sources, infrared sensors, and a microcontroller. When the goal units are mounted on the hockey goal, the infrared sensors form a detection area through which the puck must pass in order to count as a goal. The infrared transmitter of the puck and the infrared sensors of the goal units communicate with one another, and when an infrared signal is received the microcontroller triggers the light sources mounted to the goal to illuminate and indicate that a goal has been scored. Additionally, both the puck and the goal units are designed to reduce power consumption by switching between a low-energy mode or an active mode of operation.
Collapsible sports goal
A foldable, portable sports goal structure includes a hollow frame that contains an elastic cord or cable that uses compressive forces from the cord tension to hold the frame together. The sports goal includes ground support bars, sidebars and a crossbar. Rear support bars may also be used. The elastic cord or cable that is under tensions is used to hold the frame together when the goal is set up. The elastic cord or cable also holds the frame together when the goal is folded up so the goal can be quickly set up or folded up. The net can remain attached to the frame, which allows the goal to be used or stored as a single unit.
ATHLETIC NETS, ATHLETIC PERFORMANCE EVALUATION SYSTEMS AND METHODOLOGIES FOR USING THE SAME
A system is provided that generates and assigns a composite performance index number for an athlete throwing or hitting a plurality of objects at a net. The system involves a net having a uniform grid, at least one spin rate device embedded within the objects; one or more measurement devices at least one of adjacent to or integrated within the net and positioned to observe the grid; and an evaluation apparatus coupled to the spin rate device and the one or more measurement devices. The evaluation apparatus includes a processor configured to: based at least upon data captured by the one or more measurement devices, determine relative to the grid respective locations where the objects are thrown or hit by the athlete; and generate and assign, based at least upon the determined location, a composite performance index number for the athlete. Associated methods and computer program products are also provided.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DESIGN AND INSTALLATION OF A CUSTOMIZABLE SOCCER MINI-PITCH SYSTEM
There exists a number of youth development programs centered on sports programming. Some of these programs operate on a platform of revitalizing neighborhood spaces to improve community engagement by creating a space for youth to enjoy sports. Oftentimes these neighborhood spaces include restrictions or the surrounding community has needs (like lighting and seating) which are unmet or under-met. Envisioned is a system approach to addressing these needs wherein a wide variety of custom solutions can be produced from prefabricated, modular, and portable components that interface with existing amenities (if any) so to enrich the youth experience and better achieve program objectives. This modular approach provides a common infrastructure for different spaces, different sports, and different levels of play.
Annular Multimedia Stadium Goalpost and Multipurpose Target Display System
An annular multimedia stadium goalpost and multipurpose target display system. The system includes a rear support-and-multimedia assembly for supporting the net and producing audible and visual effects. The system also includes a at least one annular frame and a primary projector. The rear support-and-multimedia assembly includes a support assembly and a multimedia bar system. The support assembly maintains the annular frame and the multimedia bar system in an orientation that facilitates playing sports and projecting information. The multimedia bar system includes a plurality of lights, a plurality of first speakers, a plurality of sponsor display panels, a retractably screen assembly, and a retractably underground projector in order to audible and visually convey content regarding the sports game and advertisements to the audience. The system also includes an annular display, and a multitude of rangefinder laser-detector video cameras to track, record, and present gameplay live.
BALL GAME AND BOARD SET
A ball and game board set includes a pair of identically shaped and sized game boards each comprising a frame member that supports a front playing surface and a bottom playing surface having a plurality of specifically shaped and sized apertures. Each of the game boards include a leg assembly that transitions between a closed orientation and an open orientation. The game set also includes a plurality of game balls, a pair of flat rings and an instruction set.
SPORTS TRAINING DEVICE AND METHODS OF USE
A training device for use with a goal having a pair of posts and a crossbar, includes a pair of side panels, each side panel being disposed adjacent each of the pair of posts, each side panel including a pair of first arms disposed parallel with the pair of posts, upper and lower transverse members extending between the pair of first arms, a first netting covering the area defined by the pair of first arms, and the upper and lower transverse members, and at least one hinge coupling one of the first arms to an adjacent post.
