TRAINING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR TEACHING AND PRACTICING SKILLS FOR SPORTS
A training apparatus for teaching and practicing skills for sports. The apparatus includes at least one removable electronic device having at least one proximity sensor, a playing surface having a cavity which receives the at least one removable electronic device, and a gamepiece, such as a ball. Each proximity sensor is adapted to sense the gamepiece and activates a visual or audio indicator on the at least one removable electronic device if the gamepiece is within a range of the at least one proximity sensor.
Sports training device apparatus
A sports training apparatus including a flexible bistable spring band, wherein the flexible bistable spring band may have two stable mechanical states. The sports training apparatus may further include an elastic band including a first end and a second end, wherein a first end of the elastic band may be configured to be removeably attached to the flexible bistable spring band. The flexible bistable spring band may transition from a first stable mechanical state to a second stable mechanical state by wrapping around a cylindrical object.
LED DISPLAY SYSTEM
A light emitting diode (LED) display system includes: a net; a plurality of LED strings supported by the net, each LED string comprising a plurality of connected LED pods each comprising an LED; and control structure in communication with the LED strings. The control structure outputs a plurality of control signals to the LED strings for providing an illuminated display.
Goal Securement System and Method
A goal securement device includes a ground engagement system, a ground securement system, a goal securement system, and a goal securement monitoring system. In an embodiment, the systems work cooperatively to secure a goal to the ground and monitor the status of such securement. Embodiments of each system and embodiments of various components, aspects, or features of each system are described.
Mixed Reality Golf Simulation and Training System
A mixed reality golf simulation and training system that can use, along with a user's existing standard golf equipment, a golf ball launch monitor to track the initial ball positional data, spin and acceleration, and simulate the complete ball path and location or use complete ball tracking data and displays the actual ball path and location. Mixed reality glasses allow the display of ball tracking data over the real world view and/or an immersive display of a simulated world view, depending on the user's head or view position. Golf simulation graphical views can include various options, including simulated or panoramic photographic views of a golf course, simulated graphics and data superimposed over a real world driving range view, or simple ball tracking data superimposed over a real world view at any location.
Infrared hockey puck and goal detection system
An illuminating hockey puck and hockey goal monitoring system is provided. The hockey puck comprises a standard size hockey puck with an imbedded RF receiver, electrical circuit, and a power source therein. The receiver functions in coordination with the hockey goal monitoring system, which registers when the receiver passes over its threshold to energize a light source either in the puck or along the goal itself. The monitoring system comprises a transmitter connected to an energized wire disposed within the goal posts and over the threshold of the goal, whereby the proximity of the receiver to the wire can be measured and the system registers when the puck has entered the goal.
Apparatus and methods to track sport implements
Examples are disclosed to track sport implements and/or objects of interest. An example apparatus includes a first coil to generate a first magnetic field having a first vertical component with a zero magnitude along a first line of interest and a second coil partially overlapped with the first coil, where the second coil is to generate a second magnetic field. The example apparatus also includes a sensor to measure a magnitude of the first magnetic field in the first line of interest and a processor to determine an object of interest has crossed the first line of interest based on the magnitude of the first magnetic field measured by the sensor.
APPARATUSES SYSTEM AND METHODS FOR TRAINING SOCCER PLAYERS
A soccer training system may include one or more rebound units, including: a base; at least one rebound surface and rat least one tunnel having a tunnel inlet and a tunnel outlet, the tunnel has a cross section larger than a soccer ball. The shape of the tunnel may be such that when the base is placed on the ground a soccer ball entering the inlet is directed towards the outlet. The system may further include one or more defense player simulation devices, including a stable body to be placed on a field; and at least one adjustable indicator located on the stable body. In operation the at least one adjustable indicator may be configured to provide game instructions to a user. The system may further include a controller configured to: control the at least one adjustable indicator to provide the game instructions to the user.
Hockey puck passing machine and shooting trainer
According to various embodiments, a training device for hockey players is disclosed herein. The training device includes a puck sorting system for holding and orienting hockey pucks. The puck sorting system includes a puck drum having bottom and side portions and configured to hold therein a plurality of hockey pucks. The bottom portion of the puck drum has rotatably mounted thereon a conical puck agitation device configured to orient the plurality of hockey pucks into a predefined position. The training device further includes a puck launching system attached to the puck sorting system. The puck launching system includes a sloped tube operable to receive oriented hockey pucks and convey hockey pucks to a puck launcher. The puck launcher is configured to shoot hockey pucks via a spinning launching wheel driven by a launching motor.
REBOUDING SPORT TRAINING DEVICE
The invention pertains to a sport training device to be mounted between a first vertical support and a second vertical support. The sport training device has a rebounding surface, preferably a net that is mounted at a predetermined location between the vertical supports. Mounting is facilitated by attachment means coupled at one end to the net and at the other to the vertical supports. The invention is preferably used in the sport of soccer where the vertical supports are the uprights of a soccer goal. This training device is particularly advantageous as it does not include mounting to the upper crossbar of the soccer net. It is easily mounted to the uprights and is configured for easy removal therefrom. In use, a user would kick a ball at the sport training device and the rebounding surface would absorb part of the impact and return the ball at a reduced speed compared to the impact speed.
