Apparatus and method for design and installation of a customizable soccer mini-pitch system
There exists a number of youth development programs centered on sports programming. Some of these programs operate on a platform of revitalizing neighborhood spaces to improve community engagement by creating a space for youth to enjoy sports. Oftentimes these neighborhood spaces include restrictions or the surrounding community has needs (like lighting and seating) which are unmet or under-met. Envisioned is a system approach to addressing these needs wherein a wide variety of custom solutions can be produced from prefabricated, modular, and portable components that interface with existing amenities (if any) so to enrich the youth experience and better achieve program objectives. This modular approach provides a common infrastructure for different spaces, different sports, and different levels of play.
Sports training device and methods of use
A training device for use with a goal having a pair of posts and a crossbar, includes a pair of side panels, each side panel being disposed adjacent each of the pair of posts, each side panel including a pair of first arms disposed parallel with the pair of posts, upper and lower transverse members extending between the pair of first arms, a first netting covering the area defined by the pair of first arms, and the upper and lower transverse members, and at least one hinge coupling one of the first arms to an adjacent post.
SOCCER TRAINING EQUIPMENT AND KITS
A soccer training device can include: a body having a front surface facing a first direction; and an illuminating contact sensor associated with the body so that a light emitter is visible and capable of emitting light in substantially the same first direction that the front surface faces and so that a force contact above a predetermined threshold with the body is sensed by a sensing module. In some aspects, the illuminating contact sensor is at least one of: coupled with the soccer training member; removable from the soccer training member; or integrated with the soccer training member.
APPARATUS AND METHOD OF PLAY FOR A PORTABLE PRECISION SOCCER GAME
A portable precision soccer game device and method for use on the ground for playing a game of precision soccer including a pair of goal structures arranged on the ground placed apart from one another. Each goal structure includes a board placed on the ground in a leaned position with legs configured to hold the board which includes three cut-sections; two three cut-sections are formed at the bottom configured to intersect with the ground, and one cut-section is provided off the ground and above the two cut-sections provided at the bottom of the board. The goal structure includes a net mounted to legs corresponding to three cut-sections such that three cut-sections, net and board simulate a miniature soccer goal with multiple precision targets. The three cut-sections form a T-section simulating a soccer goalkeeper. The goal structure also includes at least one cut-section provided in the board for receiving a ball.
INFRARED HOCKEY PUCK AND GOAL DETECTION SYSTEM
Methods, systems, and techniques for automated detection of goals and announcement of same are provided. The system includes a modified hockey puck and a set of goal units that can be mounted on a hockey goal. Within the puck are light sources, motion sensors, infrared transmitters, and a power source. Within the goal units are light sources, infrared sensors, and a microcontroller. When the goal units are mounted on the hockey goal, the infrared sensors form a detection area through which the puck must pass in order to count as a goal. The infrared transmitter of the puck and the infrared sensors of the goal units communicate with one another, and, when an infrared signal is received, the microcontroller automatically triggers one or more annunciator devices, such as visual, auditory, or haptic devices, to automatically indicate that a goal has been scored without human intervention.
Adjustable target system
An adjustable target system for use on a goal having a first post, a second post, and a crossbar. The adjustable target system includes a frame and a bracket configured and arranged for adjustably attaching the frame to one of the first post, second post, and crossbar. The bracket is configured and arranged for removably attaching to one of the first post, second post and crossbar without the use of tools.
Methods and apparatus for high speed location determinations
Methods and apparatus for high speed location determinations are disclosed. An example apparatus includes at least two coils arranged along a zone of interest to generate a magnetic field, and a sensor to measure a change in the magnetic field associated with the at least two coils as an object of interest moves within or into the zone of interest. The example apparatus also includes a processor to determine a position of the object of interest based on the measured change.
TWO-PERSON UNDERWATER PROJECTILE GOAL-SCORING SPORT, AND EQUIPMENT THEREFOR
This invention is a simple method to play a one-on-one underwater goal-scoring sport together with the pertinent field of play, the projectile and the goal apparatus. While underwater, one offensive player throws the projectile toward the underwater goal apparatus defended by a defending player who tries to tag out the offensive player before they can throw, or who tries to prevent the projectile from touching the goal area. Variations to the projectile and the goal apparatus are also described as options for use in the sport.
DEVICES, SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR USING AND MONITORING SPORTS EQUIPMENT AND SPORTS ACTIVITIES
Sports equipment and/or areas of play are provided, comprising a sports equipment or area of play and a sensor.
