STRUCTURAL WATERPROOF FILM AND USES THEREOF
Described herein are structural waterproof films comprising a composite of at least one wool sheet, the wool sheet being at least partially impregnated with a hardening resin that, when hardened, is rigid or semi-rigid and is substantially water impermeable. The films described introduce organic materials into, among many applications, water craft design plus the films described offer a useful alternative to traditional non-organic fibreglass construction.
Wind turbine comprising a floating foundation having a plurality of buoyancy bodies
A wind turbine includes a floating foundation having a plurality of buoyancy bodies, the buoyancy bodies being formed from a plurality of buoyancy body elements designed as hollow bodies, which are arranged adjacent to one another in a first plane concentrically around each central element extending from the floating foundation and are connected to said central element. Each buoyancy body element has a surface supported on the central element, a convex surface arranged opposite the central element, and two lateral surfaces each supported on a lateral surface of an adjacent buoyancy body element.
Systems and Methods for Manufacturing Boat Parts
Systems, methods, and non-transitory computer readable media for manufacturing a boat part made of a fiberglass, the fiberglass including a resin and a glass, using a mold and according to a specification that defines a desired quantity of the fiberglass to apply to the mold. In one embodiment, a system includes an applicator configured to apply the fiberglass to the mold, a resin transporter configured to supply the resin to the applicator, and a glass transporter configured to supply the glass to the applicator. A control module is configured to make a comparison in real-time between an actual quantity of the fiberglass applied by the applicator and the desired quantity of the fiberglass to apply to the mold, and to calculate a remaining quantity of the fiberglass to apply to the mold to thereby achieve the desired quantity. The control module is configured to cause an indicator device to indicate in real-time the remaining quantity of the fiberglass to apply to the mold.
SIDE CUTAWAY STSTEM AND METHOD FOR KAYAKS
The present invention is method of reducing the longitudinal beam of a kayak in the area of a kayaker's paddle stroke by incorporating a cutaway section. The invention allows the paddle to be closer to the center of gravity of the kayak and thus produce more drive force and less wasted turning force. The paddler doesn't have to reach out so far to the side and therefore has a more comfortable and ergonomic stroke.
Boat and structural reinforcement therefor
A support for inclusion internally within a plastic boat body to structurally reinforce the plastic boat body is provided. The support may comprise a support plate and a support brace. Also provided is a reinforced component for a plastic boat body, comprising an interior support; and one or more plastic exterior walls. Plastic boats comprising supports and reinforced components are also provided. Further provided are associated kits, systems, and methods.
Pontoon/tritoon watercraft with composite chassis
A watercraft includes: a watercraft body; and a pontoon frame system coupled with the watercraft body, the pontoon frame system including: a plurality of pontoons spaced apart from one another and including a forward end, a rearward end, a first outboard pontoon, and a second outboard pontoon; and a chassis coupled with and at least partially supporting the watercraft body, the chassis supported by and coupling together the plurality of pontoons, the chassis including a composite body coupled with the first outboard pontoon and the second outboard pontoon at the forward end and the rearward end.
