Adjustable marine fender holder
Varying implementations of adjustable marine fender holders are disclosed, which may receive a length of rope and hold it in place so that a marine fender may be adjusted to a desired height and then fixed in place without having to untie or retie the length of rope. Holders include a friction fit feature for engaging with a nautical cleat, and a rope channel through which a rope may be passed so that a proximal end of the rope may be wedged into a set of teeth or ridges to hold the rope in place. Another holder includes a single wedged arm that may be wedged underneath a cross bar of a cleat. Yet another holder includes a collapsible friction pad that may be wedged into a cleat. Yet another holder includes a compressible friction pad that may be wedged into a cleat.
Sub sea mooring chain connector and tensioner
A mooring line length adjusting device and methods is disclosed. The connecting device is arranged for connecting a lower section and an upper section of a mooring line to respective ends of the device and for adjusting a total length of said mooring line from a previous mooring line length to a new mooring line length. The upper end of the mooring line is connected to a floating unit. At least said lower section comprises a chain segment at its top end connected to the device. The device comprises a locking arrangement to lock said chain segment to the connecting device.

A mooring line length adjusting device and methods is disclosed. The connecting device is arranged for connecting a lower section and an upper section of a mooring line to respective ends of the device and for adjusting a total length of said mooring line from a previous mooring line length to a new mooring line length. The upper end of the mooring line is connected to a floating unit. At least said lower section comprises a chain segment at its top end connected to the device. The device comprises a locking arrangement to lock said chain segment to the connecting device.
Offshore Floating Structures
An offshore floating structure such as a wind turbine includes a number of improvements. The floating structure can include a chain engaging system configured to prevent any lengthwise movement of a mooring chain. The floating structure can also include a mooring fixture pivotally coupled to the hull to prevent shock loads from being transmitted directly from the mooring line to the hull. The floating structure can also include installation aid structures that provide additional water plane area and/or buoyancy to the structure. The floating structure can also have a hull that is optimized for use as an offshore wind turbine.

Whitewater Boat Strap
A boat strap is described herein, as well as a system and method of attaching two boats with the boat strap. The boat strap is made up of a main strap, a free cam, a lower cam strap, and a lower cam. The free cam is mechanically connected to the main strap, where the main strap loops through a free cam strap connector. Additional stitching connects the main strap to itself forming a free cam loop to connect the free cam to the main strap. The lower cam is mechanically connected to the lower cam strap. The lower cam strap loops through a lower cam strap connector, and a primary stitching connects the lower cam strap to itself forming a lower cam loop to connect the lower cam to the lower cam strap, wherein the primary stitching further connects the lower cam strap to the main strap. The main strap loops through a connector on one boat and runs through the lower cam to attach the boat strap to the rail. The main strap then is run through the cam on a second boat strap on the other boat, attaching the boats.
Release mechanism and method of use of same
A release mechanism for separating sections of mooring lines has a main body with two separable first and second halves or sections. A hydraulic assembly within the main body is controlled by an acoustic system, and moves a rod and button so as to move locking shoes within the main body. The locking shoes hold the first and second sections locked together, or alternatively release them to disconnect the mooring line. In addition to the acoustically controlled hydraulic assembly, the release mechanism has a mechanical disconnect, which is operated by pulling the release mechanism into a chain fairlead or the like, or by pulling an encircling member such as a trigger sleeve into the release mechanism. The release mechanism may include instrumentation to transmit various operating conditions of the release mechanism when in use.
MOORING MATE
An apparatus for mooring a boat may include a mount body including a plurality of sidewalls forming a channel. A cleat may extend from a first of the plurality of sidewalls. A plate may be removably coupled to the mount body. The apparatus may include a clamping structure comprising a movable jaw coupled to a second of the plurality of sidewalls and configured to clamp the mount to a dock rail.
MOORING MATE
An apparatus for mooring a boat may include a mount body including a plurality of sidewalls forming a channel. A cleat may extend from a first of the plurality of sidewalls. A plate may be removably coupled to the mount body. The apparatus may include a clamping structure comprising a movable jaw coupled to a second of the plurality of sidewalls and configured to clamp the mount to a dock rail.
ROPE TIE
A hand-held rope tie is operable to releasably hold one or more portions of a rope. Pivotally connected arm members accommodate and hold the rope portions with a selected clamping pressure. The rope tie is adjustable to tightly grip and clamp onto the rope without slippage of the rope through the arms when desired.
