High performance foam dart having ridges
A toy dart having an elongate dart body of a foam material in a substantially cylindrical shape extending from a head end to a tail end in a first, longitudinal direction, an outer surface of the substantially cylindrical shape having a first ridge proximate the head end; a second ridge proximate the tail end; and one or more recessed areas disposed between the first ridge and the second ridge, where the elongate dart body has a first outer diameter at the first ridge and the second ridge that is larger than a second outer diameter at the one or more recessed areas; and a deformable dart cap affixed to the head end of the elongate dart body.
Dart
A dart may comprisein order from the front thereofa point, a barrel, a shaft, and a flight. The flight may comprise a plurality of fins. The fins may comprise mesh-like reinforcing ribs that protrude from surfaces thereof. The fins may further comprise, at peripheries thereof, fin rims formed so as to be of increased thickness. Reinforcing ribs may be formed over the approximate entireties of the fins. The shaft may comprise an insertion portion at the back end thereof. The flight may comprise a central axial hole having an opening at the front end thereof. The shaft may be removably installable with respect to the flight by virtue of a cap-like arrangement by which the insertion portion is inserted within, and is coupled and secured to, the central axial hole. The central axial hole may be formed from the front end of the flight to the back end thereof.

Foam darts
The present invention generally relates to an improved foam dart that operates with improved accuracy. The shaft of the foam dart is shaped with indentions that direct airflow around the dart to improve its accuracy. The dart tip is also connected through a rigid neck portion that further improves the accuracy of the dart during use. An alternative embodiment allows the user to place a pop cap within the dart tip that will explode to cause a loud bang when the dart contacts a hard object at the end of its flight. Side vents direct exhaust gases away from the target to improve safety.
Projectile device
The present invention relates generally to a new and improved projectile. More specifically, the invention relates to a compact and durable projectile that has a singular shaft-like body that is manufactured from stainless steel or other suitable materials. The projectile has a pointed tip, a handle, and a notch that allows the projectile to be pulled back against an elastic or tensioned member to ultimately propel the projectile towards its intended target upon its release. Differing embodiments of the projectile may also have various removable aerodynamic fins and arrow-head-like tips.
Foam dart having a safety cap
A toy dart includes a deformable cap that safely impacts a target. The cap includes two layers of substantially parallel hollow passages that provide spaces that allow the cap to deform. The lower layer, having two hollow passages, is supported by exterior posts and an interior wall between the two hollow passages. The upper layer, having three hollow passages, is supported by exterior posts and interior walls that are laterally offset from the interior wall of the lower layer. The upper and lower layers are separated vertically by a substantially flat divider. Due to the difference in the number of hollow passages and interior walls in each layer, the upper layer is more rigid than the lower layer such that the lower layer of the cap deforms more than the upper layer of the cap upon initial impact with the target.
THREADED MEMBER, FASTENING MEMBER, AND DART
A threaded member has a discontinuous helical thread ridge 15 on which a plurality of dividing portions 14 are formed in the middle. At least one of the discontinuous portions of the thread ridge 15, which is interposed between the dividing portions 14, is a locking portion 18 which is configured such that a flank angle of one flank, out of flanks on both sides of the thread ridge 15, is smaller than a flank angle of a flank corresponding to a basic ridge profile and at least part of the flank is disposed on an outside of the flank corresponding to the basic ridge profile.
Dart and dart game
A recreational throwing dart comprising a target area at the rear capable of capturing the tip of another dart thrown into it while the dart is in the dartboard and a game comprising said dart. The dart is thrown into the dartboard and then a second dart is thrown at the target area of the first dart in the dartboard. The point of the second dart can stick into, be mechanically captured by, or otherwise adhere to the rear portion of the first dart. This dart creates a new form of gameplay different from traditional dart rules in which the tip of all darts must strike and stick into the dartboard itself. The invention allows the darts to not be damaged by the second dart sticking into the rear of it as happens when a standard dart pierces a dart flight or a dart shaft.
Dart game diddle and handicap alternative
A multiple target electronic dart gaming machine includes multiple targets mounted on opposite sides of a game board of a target assembly that is housed in a cabinet of the gaming machine. A visual display video monitor provides players and observers with game scores and the like. The game board may be axially rotated between at least first and second positions so as to allow game play on the different targets which can be moved into and out of position to aid in gameplay such as deciding which player goes first. Additionally, the position of the game board may be detected through the use of a detector on or in the board.
