In a shallow water anchor of a parallelogram design which lowers a rod down from a fishing boat into contact with the ground to keep a boat from drifting out of a chosen location, a depth the rod can reach depending on the combined extended length of the unfolded parallelogram and the length of the vertical rod, a first improvement to increase the maximal depth without concomitantly increasing the length of the parallelogram frame, the improvement using the relative motion and geometry of parallelogram parts to lengthen a telescoping rod, and a second improvement of a flexible coupling to an electric drive motor.

The present invention is directed to an apparatus that allows a boat to be anchored, maneuvered, docking, and stabilized. The invention has a member that can rotate about a first axis from a stowed position to an anchored position. Or the member may be placed downwardly in the ground floor of the body of water, for maneuvering the vessel and to move the vessel in a desired direction. The hull of the vessel may have a channel for the rotation or movement of the member within the channel.

A shallow water anchor to anchor a water craft in a shallow body of water comprising an anchor positioning assembly mounted on or to the water craft and an anchor member, the anchor position assembly comprises at least one anchor engaging member coupled to an anchor positioning device or drive mechanism to raise and lower the anchor member vertically between an elevated or raised position and an extended or anchored position and further includes a system control to control the operation of the anchor position assembly in raising and lowering the anchor member between the elevated or raised position and the extended or anchored position such that the anchor member is lowered to engage the bottom of the shallow body of water when the anchor member is in the anchored position to anchor the water craft and the anchor member disengages the bottom of the shallow body of water when the anchor member is raised vertically from the anchored position to permit the water craft to move about the shallow body of water.

A shallow water anchor to anchor a water craft in a shallow body of water comprising an anchor positioning assembly mounted on or to the water craft and an anchor member, the anchor position assembly comprises at least one anchor engaging member coupled to an anchor positioning device or drive mechanism to raise and lower the anchor member vertically between an elevated or raised position and an extended or anchored position and further includes a system control to control the operation of the anchor position assembly in raising and lowering the anchor member between the elevated or raised position and the extended or anchored position such that the anchor member is lowered to engage the bottom of the shallow body of water when the anchor member is in the anchored position to anchor the water craft and the anchor member disengages the bottom of the shallow body of water when the anchor member is raised vertically from the anchored position to permit the water craft to move about the shallow body of water.

A shallow water anchor is provided. The shallow water anchor comprises a first anchor extension and a second anchor extension axially received by a housing. The first anchor extension is axially received by the second anchor extension such that the first and second anchor extensions are sequentially deployable from the housing using an actuation arrangement. The actuation arrangement is controlled by a control interface that is operable to detect when the shallow water anchor has reached a fully extended state and fully retracted state. The shallow water anchor further includes a biasing compensator that compensates for fluctuations in the overall depth of water the anchor is deployed in due to waves or other anomalies.

The present invention provides a seabed connection hub (SCH) for guiding a drilling assembly to drill a bore hole and subsequently guiding a deep set tensile anchor into the bore hole. The seabed connection hub (SCH) comprising a body member configured to act as a sea bed anchor. The body member comprises a lower surface configured in use to rest upon, and for at least a portion of the lower surface of the body member to penetrate the sea bed. The body member comprises a guide channel extending therethrough to a first opening provided in the lower surface of the body member. The guide channel is configured to receive and guide a drilling assembly to produce a bore hole. The guide channel is configured to receive and guide a deep set tensile anchor therethrough into the opening of the bore hole. The body member further comprises at least one connector for engaging one or more mooring line termination for an offshore installation. The lower surface of the body member is profiled to extend at an angle to a reference plane defined by the sea bed adjacent the bore hole.
