Tension-Leg Platform Anchoring System
A tension-leg platform anchoring system is used to tether the columns of a floating platform to the seabed and restrict movement of the entire platform. The tension-leg platform anchoring system includes a topside and a plurality of anchored floating supports. The topside provides a deck for supporting workers and equipment. The anchored floating supports are used to keep the topside afloat and limit movement. The anchored floating support includes a column, at least one mooring assembly, and an anchor. The column is connected to the topside and is used to keep the tension-leg platform afloat. The mooring assembly includes a column coupler, a first tendon, and an anchor coupler, which are used together to tether the column to the anchor. The column coupler is tethered to the anchor coupler through the first tendon, which is connected to the column by the column coupler.

System for stabilizing an offshore horizontal axis wind turbine having a tower, the system comprising sensors for generating signals representing detected movements of the tower, and gyroscopes. Each gyroscope has a spinning axis, an input axis and an output axis, and a flywheel rotatable about the spinning axis. The system further comprises an actuator for each gyroscope, said actuator being arranged with its related gyroscope in such a way that this actuator can apply a torque about the input axis of the gyroscope. The system also comprises a control unit for receiving the signals representing detected movements of the tower, and for providing the actuator with suitable control signals for said actuator to apply a torque about the related gyroscope input axis, said torque about the input axis producing a torque about the output axis of the same gyroscope that at least partly dampens the detected movements of the tower.
Method and apparatus for replacing a tendon flex bearing on a tension leg platform
A method and apparatus for replacing a tendon flex bearing on a tension leg platform includes installing a tendon tensioning tool on the Length Adjustment Joint (LAJ) of a tendon and providing a supplemental buoyancy module on the tendon. The tendon tensioning tool is used to disengage the slips from the top tendon connector. The buoyancy of the supplemental buoyancy module may then be adjusted to support the tendon whereupon the tendon tensioning tool may be disengaged permitting removal and replacement of the tendon flex bearing. Following installation of the new (or refurbished) flex bearing, the steps of the procedure may be reversed to return the tendon to its normal operating state. In certain embodiments, top clamp actuation means is provided in the tendon tensioning tool for removing slips from the top clamp.
Disconnectable production dock (DPD) for turret free disconnectable weather vaning FPSO
System for mooring a large vessel for production of hydrocarbons, such vessel for example being a FPSO vessel, the mooring system comprising at least two floating bodies of the hang-off type, moored by means of differentiated compliance spread anchoring system to the sea bed, allowing partly weathervaning of the large vessel; a riser system extending from the sea bed to each the floating bodies, and means for transfer of fluids from the two floating bodies to the large vessel, the floating bodies and the large vessel being provided with locking means, locking floating bodies to the large vessel at the bow and the stern of the vessel in a mechanically rigid manner, thus providing a integrated, rigidly fixed unit comprising the large vessel and the floating bodies.
Assembly for mooring a pile with a mooring line and method implemented with said assembly
Assembly for mooring a pile with a mooring line. The assembly according to one implementation has a frame disposed on the pile that is configured to support a connecting end of a chain, the other end of the chain being connected to the pile. The assembly having an attachment assembly having an attachment element connected at one end of the mooring line. A coupler coupled to the attachment element allows positioning the attachment element with respect to the connecting end of the chain. The coupler includes a guide for positioning the attachment element on the frame. A fixing assembly is provided allowing the interconnection of the attachment element and the connecting end of the chain.
Offshore platform for a marine environment
An offshore platform for a marine environment includes a regulating tower section supporting at least one offshore wind turbine, at least one buoyancy tube connected between the regulating tower section, the at least one buoyancy tube having a tapered lower end extending to a seabed, and a concrete bed within the seabed. The tapered lower end is a cone-shaped bottom slab having a flat top surface with an apex of the cone-shaped bottom slab pointing downward towards the seabed. The concrete bed includes a reversed cone-shaped indentation to which the cone-shaped bottom slab is to be fixed within that was formed in the concrete bed by the cone-shaped bottom slab prior to the concrete bed hardening to a final design strength.
FLOATING-TYPE OFFSHORE WIND POWER MOORING SYSTEM CAPABLE OF REDUCING YAW MOTION
A floating-type offshore wind power mooring system capable of reducing a yaw motion including a floating body having three columns, disposed at the vertices of a triangle, respectively, and three pontoon units, disposed in a triangular shape to connect the multiple columns; and a wind power generation unit disposed in any one of the three columns and including a mooring unit. The mooring unit includes first, second, and third mooring lines, and a connection unit. The first mooring line has one end connected to any one of the three columns; the second mooring line has one end connected to another of the three columns; the third mooring line has one end connected to the seabed. The connection unit connects the other end of the first, second and third mooring lines so that the first mooring line, the second mooring line, and the third mooring line are arranged in a Y-shape.
FLEXIBLE RETRACTABLE MOORING SYSTEM SUITABLE FOR MEDIUM AND SHALLOW WATER OPERATION
A flexible retractable mooring system suitable for medium and shallow water operation, including first power generation devices, a second power generation device, and anchors; where the first power generation devices and the second power generation device are all connected to an offshore platform through mooring cables, and the first power generation devices are further connected to the anchors through anchor chains; the second power generation device is located directly below the offshore platform; and when the mooring system is operating, the mooring cables and the anchor chains are all in a tension state, and the first power generation devices and the second power generation device generate power by making use of tension of the mooring cables.
