Method and apparatus for storage and transportation of cargo
A stackable cargo container apparatus has a frame assembly formed by interconnected structural members, a substantially planar base, interconnecting side walls and at least one personnel access door. At least one lifting harness member of unitary or singular construction is operationally attached to the frame assembly, and permits lifting of the cargo container apparatus from its bottom and away from welds or other possible weak points. An integrated cargo weight measurement assembly permits quick and efficient determination of cargo weight placed on the planar base, and includes a digital display or other output device.
Container terminal, container loading-unloading method and container collection- evacuation method
A container terminal includes a shore working area, loading-unloading passages, a yard area and collection-evacuation passages. The shore working area is arranged on the shore, and a ship is docked at the shore. The yard area comprises a plurality of yard units. Spacing areas are formed between adjacent yard units. Each yard unit comprises at least one yard. Each yard unit is arranged with a collection-evacuation passage surrounding the yard. Loading-unloading passages are arranged in the spacing areas between adjacent yard units. The loading-unloading passages connect the yard area and the shore working area. The collection-evacuation passages are arranged in the yard units. The loading-unloading passages and the collection-evacuation passages are in a same horizontal plane but do not intersect with each other.
Two-level pallet for stackable loading
The two stackable loading level pallet makes it possible to transport one or two stacked cars in a container or airplane pallet. Said pallet is non-motorized, capable of being folded flat, stackable, and capable of being opened out by a forklift truck. In a lower position, the top support structure of said pallet, which is framed and has a completely free central space, fits into the bottom support structure of said pallet, and the top and rear front wheel support devices of the top support structure are inserted onto or in alignment with the bottom wheel support assembly of the bottom support structure and thus form all or part of a lower rolling path that makes it possible to load a motor vehicle onto the top support structure of said pallet via the own movement thereof and without an access ramp.
SHALLOW DRAFT CONTAINER CARRIER
A long, wide, and low-profile mono-hull vessel able to meet the requirements for an efficient, rapid, and reliable inland waterway container transport system. A shallow draft container carrier may comprise a self-propelled semi-monocoque mono-hull vessel having a double radius ogive bow and octet truss space frame structure. Additional features such as a forward bridge, full beam stern, and distributed electric propulsion system elements may be included. The design provides a vessel that is large, strong, ridged, and fast, able to operate in shallow water, resistant to debris accumulation, with large cargo capacity and low wind load, and potentially with zero-turn radius capability. The aspect ratio provides high capacity with high speed, low drag and fuel-efficient hull form. Integral bow and stern thrusters may provide enhanced safety, control, speed, maneuverability, and zero-turn radius capability. An electric propulsion system combined with traction motors and full beam stern layout may provide greater power while maintaining shallow draft operating capability and flexibility in cargo hold design.
PROTECTOR ASSEMBLY FOR FLEXIBLE PIPE COILS AND METHOD OF USING SAME
A system includes a coil contacting base. The coil contacting base includes a radially curved outer surface with a radius of curvature less than or equal to a coil radius of curvature of an interior channel of a coil of spoolable pipe, and the coil contacting base includes a length greater than or equal to an axial dimension of the coil. The system also includes a side wall coupled to an inner surface of the coil contacting base. The side wall is configured to block circumferential movement of a coil restraint. The system also includes a passage disposed between the coil contacting base and the side wall. The coil restraint is configured to be disposed in the passage.
Container lashing process and system
A process for lashing containers with a power tool, a lashing rod (2) connectable to a container and a turnbuckle (1) connectable to a container transport vehicle. The turnbuckle comprises a first connection part (14) connectable to the lashing rod and second connection part (15) connectable to the container transport vehicle, the turnbuckle being rotatable around it's longitudinal axis (L). At least one of the connection parts comprises a tensioning part (144) for tensioning the lashing rod by adapting the overall length of the turnbuckle and lashing rod. The tensioning part is driven by a drive part (145) which is operated by a power tool. For lashing a container the turnbuckle is connected to the container transport vehicle and the lashing rod, which is connected to the container. The turnbuckle is rotated until the drive part is accessible by the power tool. Then, the drive part is driven by the power tool.
Modular System for Transporting Wind Turbine Blades
A modular system for transporting wind turbine blades in at least two different spatial arrangements comprising two or more root end transport frames having a height H for supporting the root end, wherein H<D (D=bolt circle diameter), and two or more first tip end transport frames having a height H1 for supporting the blade towards the tip end, each first tip end transport frame has a base frame and a support bracket provided on top of the base frame, wherein each first tip end transport frame is stackable on top of a root end transport frame and vice versa, so the system is operable to stack successive blades in an alternating root end to tip end arrangement. The first tip end transport frame is replaceable with a second end transport frame that increase the inter-blade spacing, or with a tip end or a root end distance piece.
Transfer device for moving a stack of tubs in cargo hold of a vessel
The present invention relates to system for managing cargo tubs in a cargo hold of a vessel, such as a fishing vessel. The functional components of the present invention comprise means such as stacking devices for loading the cargo hold with tubs and forming stacks, rails and wagons and pushing and pulling structures as transport means for transporting the stack of tubs.
Amphibious air-cushion vehicle with dual-rail cargo system
An amphibious air cushion vehicle includes an air cushion supported hull configured for travel on water and smooth land; a deck supported by the hull; and a dual-rail cargo system having tracks arranged longitudinally on along the hull cargo deck from an aft end. The tracks include (1) guide rails and rollers providing for guided sliding movement of palletized cargo along the tracks, and (2) locks for locking pallets in position during transport, The track is configured at the aft end for an unloading operation in which the locks are disengaged and the palletized cargo slides off the aft end onto underlying land as the vehicle is moving forward thereon. The track may be the one track of a single-track variant, or one of a pair of tracks in a two-track variant.
