Ship to shore or ship to ship fluid product transfer arm
09815530 · 2017-11-14 · ·

A transfer arm for a fluid product includes a transfer pipe having sections linked by fluid-tight articulations and an end provided with a device for connecting the pipe to a target duct. A support structure for the pipe has an inner branch mounted on a base and an outer branch suspended from the inner branch by an articulation assembly. The articulation assembly enables rotation of the outer branch around vertical and horizontal axes and is positioned between first and second ends of the outer branch. The first end is provided with a counterweight for balancing parts of the outer branch that are situated on opposite sides of the horizontal rotational axis. The arm also has a disengageable device for actuating the rotations of the outer branch around the horizontal and vertical axes and a flexible link which suspends the pipe, upstream of the device, from the second end of the outer branch.

Double hose device

Device for a double hose structure with an inner main hose and an outer cover hose defining an annular space giving buoyancy in water. At least one end is provided with a coupling member forming a mount for the main hose and the cover hose which at a free end merges into a threaded portion for connecting the hose assembly to an auxiliary connection. The coupling member comprises an inner coupling sleeve connected to one end of the main hose and an outer coupling sleeve connected to the cover hose, the inner and outer coupling sleeves being mutually connected forming a liquid tight termination of the annulus by a ring-shaped plate. The plate is attached with screws through holes only to the outer sleeve, the plate being forced against a shoulder of the inner coupling sleeve by a ring nut with internal threads matching external threads on the inner sleeve.

The invention concerns a cargo transfer vessel (3) for transferring fluid between an offshore production facility and a tanker and a method for transferring the fluid. The cargo transfer vessel comprise a hull (20) having a first and a second outer longitudinal hull side; a deck (30), propulsion means for actively maintaining the cargo transfer vessel at a predetermined distance from the offshore production facility and the tanker during fluid transfer operations and fluid transfer means for transferring fluid between the offshore structure and the tanker. The vessel is further characterized in that the hull comprises a main hull member and at least one protruding hull member (13) arranged below the cargo transfer vessels water line at each of the outer longitudinal hull sides for suppressing roll of the vessel, wherein the at least one protruding hull member extends at least partly along the hulls longitudinal length, i.e. from the start of the vessel's bow to the end of the vessel's aft.

Dockside ship-to-ship transfer of LNG

Systems and methods for dockside regasification of liquefied natural gas (LNG) are described herein. The methods include providing LNG from a LNG carrier to a regasification vessel. The LNG may be regasified on the regasification vessel. The regasified natural gas may be discharged with a high pressure arm to a dock and delivered onshore. The regasification vessel may be moored to the dock. The LNG carrier may be moored to the regasification vessel or the dock.
