The invention relates to a craft in the form of a body to be sat or laid upon by a user and provided with power for use in a body of water. There is also provided a method for the use of the craft in game play and the use of the same in a manner which allows the power source for the drive to be managed. A system for transport, charging and/or communication with the craft from onshore is also provided, along with a system to allow the use of the craft within a specified area on the body of water to be maintained and controlled.

This invention is directed toward a body board, used for riding ocean waves, which has one or more removable LED light ropes disposed in one or more channels that have been molded into the top, bottom, or sides of the body board. The channels are removably covered with a water-resistant covering that can be opened to remove or exchange the LED lights. The body board also includes a cavity into which a battery is placed, where the battery powers the LED's, and means of controlling the LED's. The battery cavity, in the first embodiment, is also covered by a water-resistant covering that can be opened to access the battery for removal or replacement. A solar panel is embedded in the deck of the body board and connected to the battery for recharging when the body board is left in the sun.

A body surfing device comprising a base and a wing attachment, having a wing strut and a wing extension that is rotatable between a deployed position, wherein the wing strut is substantially perpendicular to the base and wing extension, and a stowed position, wherein the wing strut and extension are substantially parallel to the base and the wing strut and extension are nested in a cavity located in the base. The base can also have extendable leg fins that extend between an extended position, wherein the leg fins extend from the back of the base, and a retracted position, wherein the leg fins are substantially nested in leg fins cavities located in the back of the base. The body surfing device may include levers or slide handles that, when actuated, move the wing attachment between the deployed and stowed positions and the leg fins between the extended and retracted positions.

A powered watercraft system including a watercraft body, a propulsion system, a sensor configured to measure a value indicative of a manually-generated time-variable first propulsive force resulting from a body motion of the user to move the watercraft body, and a controller configured control the propulsion system to generate a second propulsive force for powering the watercraft body based on the value indicative of the first propulsive force, the generated second propulsive force being at least partially contemporary with the first propulsive force.

A body surfing device comprising a base and a wing attachment, having a wing strut and a wing extension that is substantially parallel to the base. The base can have a protrusion extending from its bottom surface that the wing strut is affixed to. Multiple wing extensions can be affixed to the wing strut. Leg fins can also extend from the base. A folding wing attachment that attaches to the bottom surface of the base of a body surfing device is also provided. The folding wing attachment has wings that fold to a substantially planar position along the bottom surface of the base and hinges that allow the wings to fold to create a strut and wing extension. Also provided is a body surfing device having a base, shoulder straps attached to the base, a back strap extending between the shoulder straps, and an extension strap extending therefrom.

A lower body garment for wear while surfing, swimming or body surfing has a lower torso portion for enclosing the lower torso of a wearer and right and left legs depending downward for enclosing at least the thigh portion of a wearer's right and left legs, respectively, each leg having a lower end opening, the lower torso portion having an upper band portion for securing the garment around a wearer's torso, and one or more right and left thigh fins secured to the outer right and left side portions of the garment, respectively, and projecting laterally outward from the garment. The legs may be shorts length and end above the knee or extend below the knee to the lower calf or ankles.

This invention is directed toward a body board, used for riding ocean waves, paddling through standing water, and other aquatic uses, which has one or more strings of optionally removable LED lights disposed in one or more channels that have been molded or routed into the top, bottom, or sides of the body board. The channels are, in one embodiment, removably covered with a water-resistant covering that can be opened to remove or exchange the LED lights. The body board also includes a cavity into which a battery (optionally, with a solar charger) is placed, where the battery powers the LED's, and means of controlling the LED's. The battery cavity, in the first embodiment, is also covered by a water-resistant covering that can be opened to access the battery for removal or replacement. In a second embodiment, the cover is permanent, allowing for a more waterproof cover.

A lower body garment for wear while surfing, swimming or body surfing has a lower torso portion for enclosing the lower torso of a wearer and right and left legs depending downward for enclosing at least the thigh portion of a wearer's right and left legs, respectively, each leg having a lower end opening, the lower torso portion having an upper band portion for securing the garment around a wearer's torso, and one or more right and left thigh fins secured to the outer right and left side portions of the garment, respectively, and projecting laterally outward from the garment. The legs may be shorts length and end above the knee or extend below the knee to the lower calf or ankles.

A body board for use by a rider in water includes a buoyant board body defined as having a top rider surface opposite a bottom submerged surface, a front half opposite a rear half, a left half opposite a right half and a board centerline. The board centerline extends from the front section half to the rear section half separating the left half from the right half. A left side riser is disposed on the top rider surface located in the left half and rear half, the left side riser extending above the top rider surface and configured to abut a rider's left rib cage and/or left hip. A right side riser is disposed on the top rider surface located in the right half and rear half, the right side riser extending above the top rider surface and configured to abut a rider's right rib cage and/or right hip.

A sports board that includes an elongate, water impervious, thermoplastic foam core having an upper surface and an under surface; an upper layer covering at least a portion of the upper surface; and an under layer covering at least a portion of the under surface. The foam core is made of a foamed material having a water absorption (measured according to ASTM C-272) of less than 2 volume percent.
