There is also provided a method for the use of the craft in game play and the use of the same in a manner which allows the power source for the drive to be managed. A system for transport, charging and/or communication with the craft from onshore is also provided, along with a system to allow the use of the craft within a specified area on the body of water to be maintained and controlled.

This invention is directed toward a body board, used for riding ocean waves, which has one or more removable LED light ropes disposed in one or more channels that have been molded into the top, bottom, or sides of the body board. The channels are removably covered with a water-resistant covering that can be opened to remove or exchange the LED lights. The body board also includes a cavity into which a battery is placed, where the battery powers the LED's, and means of controlling the LED's. The battery cavity, in the first embodiment, is also covered by a water-resistant covering that can be opened to access the battery for removal or replacement. A solar panel is embedded in the deck of the body board and connected to the battery for recharging when the body board is left in the sun.

The base can also have extendable leg fins that extend between an extended position, wherein the leg fins extend from the back of the base, and a retracted position, wherein the leg fins are substantially nested in leg fins cavities located in the back of the base. The body surfing device may include levers or slide handles that, when actuated, move the wing attachment between the deployed and stowed positions and the leg fins between the extended and retracted positions.

The folding wing attachment has wings that fold to a substantially planar position along the bottom surface of the base and hinges that allow the wings to fold to create a strut and wing extension. Also provided is a body surfing device having a base, shoulder straps attached to the base, a back strap extending between the shoulder straps, and an extension strap extending therefrom.

The body board also includes a cavity into which a battery (optionally, with a solar charger) is placed, where the battery powers the LED's, and means of controlling the LED's. The battery cavity, in the first embodiment, is also covered by a water-resistant covering that can be opened to access the battery for removal or replacement. In a second embodiment, the cover is permanent, allowing for a more waterproof cover.

The board centerline extends from the front section half to the rear section half separating the left half from the right half. A left side riser is disposed on the top rider surface located in the left half and rear half, the left side riser extending above the top rider surface and configured to abut a rider's left rib cage and/or left hip. A right side riser is disposed on the top rider surface located in the right half and rear half, the right side riser extending above the top rider surface and configured to abut a rider's right rib cage and/or right hip.
