Device and system for propelling a passenger
A propulsion device including a platform on which a passenger is positioned, said platform comprising an upper surface and a lower surface, and cooperating with means for collecting and distributing a pressurized fluid to a primary nozzle expelling said fluid from a fluid outlet in a given direction, said means being supplied with pressurized fluid by a fluid supply conduit, the device being characterized in that: the primary nozzle is oriented substantially from the bow to the stern of the platform; the fluid expulsion direction fits in a median plane of the platform; the fluid expulsion direction of the primary nozzle describes an angle comprised between 10 and +45 with a longitudinal axis of the platform contained in said median plane.
Hover Board with Quick Disconnect Hose
A sport amusement device consists of a snowboard like board integrated into a unibody inlet nozzle that accepts a high pressure fire hose. The inlet nozzle pivots and has a quick disconnect collar for the fire hose. The base includes land support columns to enable preparation for launch. A jet ski or other pump powers the fire hose. With horsepower ranges from 80 to 300 the board flies even forty feet into the air and can propel the rider underwater in a dolphin like manner. The board floats. Quick disconnect bindings allow the rider to quickly dismount. The rider's hands are completely free to help balance and steer the board in flight.
Easy maintenance flying board
A water propelled flying board has a left and a right thrust nozzle. Each thrust nozzle has a knuckle joint attachment to a pressure water manifold. The thrust nozzles can be independently swiveled forward, backward, sideways or other directions relative to the rider. A left foot and a right foot platform are independently secured to the respective nozzle inlet to allow the rider to go toe up of toe down, they can rotate 360 degrees independently with each foot. This enables trick flying maneuvers including spinning like a top. The knuckle joint can be either a hose segment or a bearing. The left and right foot platforms or center blocks can be locked together and can have a spring return to neutral assembly.
PROPULSION DEVICES WITH IMPROVED CONTROLS
A personal propulsion device adapted to achieve flight by discharging a fluid, including a passenger assembly adapted to support an individual person; at least one fluid discharge nozzle coupled to the passenger assembly, where the nozzle is movable with respect to the passenger assembly to define a range of motion, and where the nozzle is biased towards at least one position in the range of motion.
