VARIABLE USE PONTOON BOAT SYSTEM AND METHOD
A variable use pontoon boat configured to operate in both a high speed condition and an improved wake-profile condition is provided. The boat includes a pair of outer pontoons that flare outward in the rearward direction. A rear section of the outer pontoons has a width that is greater than its height. An inclined bottom surface is defined by the outer pontoons. The bottom surface is inclined upward in the rearward direction, and may be inclined laterally upward. The system may include a center pontoon that flares outward in the rearward direction. The center pontoon and the outer pontoons may be spaced apart at a decreased distance at the rear of the boat relative to the front of the boat, such that water is blocked at the rear of the boat and displaced downward. A pair of wake panels may be disposed at the rear of the outer pontoons, and the wake panels may be individually and selectively actuated downward into the water to enhance the wake profile and retracted upward at high speeds.

Wake-modifying device for a boat
A recreational sport boat includes a hull, having starboard and port sides and a transom, and a pair of wake-modifying devices positioned aft of the transom. One of the wake-modifying devices is positioned on a port side of the boat's centerline and another of the wake-modifying devices is positioned on a starboard side of the boat's centerline. Each wake-modifying device includes a plate-like member and at least one downturned surface at a trailing portion of the plate-like member. Each wake-modifying device is pivotable between a non-deployed position and a deployed position about a pivot axis that is horizontal or inclined no more than about 35 from horizontal. When a wake-modifying device is in the deployed position, the downturned surface is lower than it is in the non-deployed position so as to be able to modify the boat's wake.
DEVICE FOR PRODUCING A STERN WAVE ON A WATERCRAFT, USE OF A DEVICE, WATERCRAFT HAVING A DEVICE, AND METHOD FOR USING A DEVICE
The invention relates to a device for producing a stern wave on a watercraft, in particular a sports boat, for wakesurfing and/or wakeboarding on the stern wave, comprising at least one pivoting deflector that can be pivoted out laterally, in particular respectively on a right-hand and left-hand lateral region of the hull of the watercraft, having an arranging means, in particular hinge means, on a lateral hull region of the watercraft, in particular in the region of the stern, wherein a stern wave for wakesurfing and/or wakeboarding can be formed by the pivoting deflector in the pivoted-out state, and an integration region for the pivoting deflector in the lateral hull region of the watercraft, such that the hinge means is substantially integrated in the hull region of the watercraft in the pivoted-in stage, to adapt and/or continue a hull outer line in the lateral hull region of the watercraft.

Surf wake forming systems and methods with gyroscope force vector translation
A wakeboat has a hull, the hull forming a wake when moving forward in the water, with a left quiet region and a right quiet region in the wake. The hull may exhibit rotation around one or more of its roll, pitch, and yaw axes which affects the quiet regions in the wake. A gyroscope supported in the hull may be used to rotate the hull around one or more axes. Such rotation may be used to create a surf left and/or surf right configuration, and measured via one or more sensors. Other systems and methods are also provided.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ENHANCING A WAKE PROFILE FOR PONTOON BOATS
A system for enhancing a wake profile produced by a pontoon boat is provided. The system includes a pair of ramps attached to the bottom of a platform supported by at least two pontoons. The ramps may be oriented downward with a rear end of the ramp disposed in the water between the pontoons. The water flowing between the pontoons is displaced downward by the ramps, thereby increasing water displacement and directing the water to produce an improved wake profile. Downforce may be applied to the boat by one or more wake plates, with a faceted portion of the wake plate facing forward and upward, such that when water impacts the faceted portion a downforce is provided. The wake plates may be attached to the ramps or may be separate from the ramps.
