The invention relates to a vessel for operating on a body of water comprising: a non-planing hull having a waterline and a longitudinal direction with a forward portion, an aft portion, and a central portion, the hull being configured to have the aft portion with a smaller water displacement relative to a water displacement at the central portion; and an aft foil affixed to the aft hull portion with one or more connecting members, and below the surface of the water, and spaced from the hull, the aft foil having a span, a chord, and a leading edge and a trailing edge relative to a forward direction, wherein the leading edge of the aft foil is tilted at a downward angle relative to the horizontal, wherein the aft foil has a chord and profile in longitudinal cross section, with a configuration to provide a lifting force, the tilt angle of the chord of the aft foil being measured with respect to the horizontal, and wherein the aft foil is oriented to provide a continuous, upward, forwardly directed component of the lifting force.
Modular pontoon boat
According to embodiments disclosed herein, there is provided a modular boat that includes a first pontoon, a second pontoon, an arched coupling member, a deck frame, a deck surface and at least one inflatable seat. The first pontoon has a first longitudinal axis and the second pontoon has a second longitudinal axis. The arched coupling member is removably coupleable to the first pontoon and the second pontoon so that the arched coupling member is perpendicular to the first and second longitudinal axis. The deck frame is removably coupleable to the arched coupling member. The deck surface is removably coupleable to the deck frame and extends in a first plane that is parallel to a second plane that contains the first and second longitudinal axis. The inflatable seat is removably coupleable to the deck surface.
Positioning of a keel of a floating structure, especially for a wind turbine
An offshore floating structure is provided including a floater with positive buoyancy and a keel with negative buoyancy, as well as active and passive suspenders connecting nodes of the keel and the floater with each other. When the keel at the offshore site is lowered by making the active suspenders longer, the passive suspenders, which have a fixed length and are held taut, causes the keel to rotate about the vertical during lowering.
FLOATING FOUNDATION FOR WIND TURBINE GENERATORS
The invention relates to a floating foundation for wind turbine generators and a method for installing a wind turbine generator on top of and performing maintenance on said foundation. The floating foundation includes a tower and two support legs pivotally connected to the tower, forming a tripod-like structure. The floating foundation may include hydrodynamic damping elements and a single point mooring system leaving the foundation free to weathervane. The invention also relates to a method for using the structure as a crane, lowering and raising the turbine platform against and from e.g. a service barge during maintenance or assembly.
Cargo Transfer Vessel
The invention concerns a cargo transfer vessel for transferring fluid between an offshore production facility and a tanker and a method for transferring the fluid. The cargo transfer vessel comprise a hull having a first and a second outer longitudinal hull side; a deck, propulsion means for actively maintaining the cargo transfer vessel at a predetermined distance from the offshore production facility and the tanker during fluid transfer operations and fluid transfer means for transferring fluid between the offshore structure and the tanker. The vessel is further characterized in that the hull comprises a main hull member and at least one protruding hull member arranged below the cargo transfer vessels water line at each of the outer longitudinal hull sides for suppressing roll of the vessel, wherein the at least one protruding hull member extends at least partly along the hulls longitudinal length, i.e. from the start of the vessel's bow to the end of the vessel's aft.

A hull structure for a semi-submersible wind power turbine platform, a method for loading a set of hull structures onto a semi-submersible cargo carrying marine vessel, and a marine vessel carrying a set of hull structures. The hull structure includes: first, second and third buoyant stabilizing columns extending in a substantially vertical direction; first, second and third elongated submersible pontoon structures extending in a substantially horizontal direction. The hull structure has a general shape of a triangle in the horizontal plane with the first, second and third pontoon structures forming sides of the triangle. The pontoon structures extend between and connects to the columns at lower parts thereof, and the third pontoon structure is arranged so that an upper side of the third pontoon structure is located at a lower level in the horizontal direction than an upper side of each of the first and second pontoon structures.
