Vessel with a semi automatic or automatic mooring system and method
Disclosed is a vessel with a semi automatic or automatic vessel mooring system and a method of mooring with such a system. The vessel includes a hull, a mooring line winch unit, at least one mooring line extending from said winch unit, and a weight at an end of the at least one mooring line. A mooring line guide boom with at least one mooring line guide on a mooring line guide portion is movable between a retracted position aligned with the hull, and an extended position. In the extended position the mooring line guide boom allows the winch unit to lower the weight at the end of the mooring line extending through the mooring line guide and onto a quay.
SUNSHADE SYSTEM USING LINEAR ACTUATORS AND FREE-FLOATING CANOPY
A shade system includes a first linear actuator attachable to a structure, and a second linear actuator spaced from the first linear actuator and attachable to the structure. The first and second linear actuators are each displaceable between a retracted position and an extended position. A canvas connected between the first and second linear actuators is fixed to distal ends and to proximal ends of the first and second linear actuators and is free-floating between the distal and proximal ends. The canvas is configured to retract into an accordion configuration when the first and second linear actuators are displaced from the extended position to the retracted position.
PONTOON OR HULL ADJUSTMENT SYSTEM
A boat may have a deck and a plurality of pontoons or hulls supporting the deck of the boat. The boat may include a starboard side pontoon, a port side pontoon, and possibly a middle pontoon. A positioning assembly may be provided with one or more of the foregoing pontoons. Each of the positioning assemblies may comprise a link assembly coupling the deck to the starboard side toon, wherein the link assembly is configured to permit pivoting of the starboard side toon relative to the deck from a retracted position, where the starboard side toon is proximate to an underside of the deck, to an extended position, where the starboard side toon is moved further from the underside, and an actuator provided to position the starboard side toon between the retracted position and the extended position. The boat may further include a leveling control system having a controller and a level sensor configured to detect an attitude of the deck, the controller in communication with the actuators and cause actuation of either or both of the actuators to extend or retract the port side toon and/or the starboard side toon based on data received from the level sensor indicative of the deck attitude.
Versatile flexible and reconfigurable vehicle systems
Various embodiments are directed to interconnectable tiles configured for operation in an aquatic environment or a near-zero/zero gravity environment. The interconnectable tiles are configured to interconnect relative to one another to form interconnected surfaces, and individual interconnectable tiles provide thrust, ballast, and/or buoyancy to the overall interconnected surface so as to move the interconnected surface in a desired configuration.
Collapsible Fin Shade Apparatus For Boats
A collapsible fin shade apparatus for a boat.
Tower for a boat
A boat tower (1800), including: a center section (1814) configured as a cockpit cover for a boat; a first support (1802) secured to a first end of the center section, the first support including a first telescoping assembly (1804); and a second support (1808) secured to a second end of the center section, the second support including a second telescoping assembly (1810). The first telescoping assembly and the second telescoping assembly cooperate to raise and lower the center section between a first position and a second position. At least one of the first support and the second support comprises a storage compartment (2210, 2211).
TELESCOPIC DOCK SYSTEM
The invention relates to a telescopic dock system, said system comprising: dock surface; at least two posts; a knob; at least one telescopic spindles; and at least one railing. The dock system with telescopic spindles which can be used to stow down the railing by turning a knob is disclosed. The system can allow a person to protect kids, pets from falling in the water. The system is a convenient way to improve safety without restricting fun on the docks.
Pumping system
According to embodiments described in the specification, a pumping system for use in a tailings pond is provided. The pumping system comprises a pump support and at least one mooring element coupled to the pump support. The at least one mooring element has an extended position for fixing the pump support to a bed of the tailings pond, and a retracted position for permitting movement of the pump support towards a shore of the tailings pond. The at least one mooring element is configured for transitioning from the extended position to the retracted position when a distance from the shore to the pump support exceeds a threshold as a result of a change to tailings pond geometry, and for returning to the extended position following movement of the pump support to reduce the distance below the threshold.
