WEIGHT DISTRIBUTION AND STIFFENING SYSTEM FOR MODULAR FLOATING PLATFORMS
20220119078 · 2022-04-21 ·

A weight distribution and stiffening system is provided for modular floating platforms by creating internal channels that allow for the incorporation of stiffening members within the modular floating platform assembly. Float modules with horizontal recessed areas that are aligned with adjacent float modules to create open channels within the body of a modular floating platform.

ROLLER ASSEMBLY FOR FLOATING WATERCRAFT PORT

One example provides a roller assembly for conveying a watercraft on a floating drive-on watercraft port. The roller assembly includes an axle, a center roller disposed on the axle, and a pair of shoulder rollers disposed on the axle, one shoulder roller disposed on each side of the center roller, the center roller and each shoulder roller free to spin independently from one another about the axle. Each shoulder roller includes an outer sidewall facing away from the center roller, and an inner sidewall facing the roller, a diameter of the shoulder roller at the outer sidewall being greater than a diameter of the shoulder roller at the inner sidewall such that an outer circumferential surface of the shoulder roller is downwardly angled from the outer sidewall toward the center roller.

WHEEL FOR FLOATING WATERCRAFT PORT

One example provides a wheel for conveying a watercraft on a floating drive-on watercraft port. The wheel includes a rim including a center hub having a tapered bore configured to receive an axle, the bore tapered such that a center diameter at a center circumference of the bore is less than an end diameter at bore openings at opposing ends of the bore. A tire is disposed about an outer circumference of the rim for engaging a hull of a watercraft.

FLOATING DRIVE-ON PONTOON PORT

One example provides a floating drive-on pontoon port including a plurality of floating sections pivotally coupled together in series with one another to form an articulating port track base and an articulating starboard track base extending longitudinally in parallel with one another, the port and starboard track bases each having a lower surface to be disposed in water and an opposing upper surface to face away from the water. A port transport track extends longitudinally across the upper surface of the port track base, and a starboard transport track extends longitudinally across the upper surface of the starboard track base and in parallel with the port transport track, the port and starboard transport tracks each comprising a series of spaced apart rollers configured to respectively receive, transport, and support a port pontoon and a starboard pontoon of a pontoon during loading, unloading, and storage of the pontoon boat on the pontoon port. A lateral position of the port and starboard transport tracks relative to one another is adjustable to adjust a lateral distance between the port and starboard transport tracks to accommodate pontoon boats of different widths.

Disclosed herein is an inflatable watercraft barrier in one example having an inflatable perimeter tube. Also disclosed is a diaphragm sealed to the perimeter tube to form the watercraft barrier between a watercraft and the water in which the watercraft barrier and watercraft float. In one example, a portion of the perimeter tube forms a gate portion which is at least partially selectively deflated so as to be denser than water, and therefore rotates about a gate pivot such that the watercraft may enter the watercraft barrier through the gate portion. Also disclosed is a water pump in fluid communication with the watercraft barrier so as to evacuate water from between the watercraft barrier and the watercraft.

SYSTEM FOR OPERATING WATERCRAFT, METHOD THEREOF AND WATERCRAFT

A camera produces image data representing an image of a surrounding view of a watercraft. A controller obtains the image data. The controller recognizes an image representing a specific mark in the image data. With reference to a control data set, the controller obtains watercraft operating information associated with the specific mark recognized in the image data. The control data set defines a relationship between the specific mark and the watercraft operating information.
