Automatic and instantaneous inflating device
A device is constituted by an inflatable neck float (1), with a U shape placed around the neck and closed by a safety closure (2) to allow perfect fitting around the neck, inside said neck float (1) there is a flexible tube (3) that carries a gas (11), introduced in liquid state and which, upon being released suddenly, will expand and inflate the lifesaving neck float.
SAFETY SYSTEM INCLUDING EVACUATION SLIDE AND FLOATATION RAFT, AND METHODS OF USE
An emergency system is disclosed that includes an elongated inflatable slide portion that in the inflated condition has an upper end portion, an enlarged lower end portion and a middle portion therebetween, the slide portion optionally further includes a pair of raised side portions to assist with retaining an evacuee on the slide portion. The system is moveable from a ready position inside the building to a deployed position outside the building, wherein, in an embodiment, a release button in the ready position is arranged and configured to face an interior wall of the building, and in the deployed position is arranged and configured to face outward and be readily accessible by a potential evacuee. The slide may optionally include side support members, one or more securement straps, and other features.
Automation of flotation devices
The present invention relates to improved personal flotation devices and their methods of use. Advantageously, the devices and methods of the invention eliminate the need for a pyrotechnical firing mechanism, and compared to current devices, are less apt to be spontaneously activated by deterioration that is caused by storage in a humid environment or the passage of time. Instead, the devices and methods of use of the present invention incorporate electronic circuitry to activate automatic operation.
Backpack system with improved detection of catastrophic events
A modular backpack system includes a personal floatation harness having an automatic inflator mechanism and pack attachment features; and a plurality of pack modules selectively attachable to the pack attachment features to form a floatation-enhanced backpack. Each one of the plurality of pack modules may further include a different arrangement for accommodating accessories. For example, the different arrangements may include arrangements having different compartments. Other arrangements may have different attachment features. The different attachment features may include different lash points. The backpack module may be one taken from the list of: a pack adapted for kayaking with a waterproof compartment and lash points for ready access to accessories; a pack adapted for sailing with waterproof and non-waterproof compartments; a pack adapted for hiking with multiple compartments for tools and supplies; and a pack adapted for everyday carry (EDC) having multiple quick-access compartments for carrying everyday tools.
BUOYANT ANTI-HYPOTHERMIA APPARATUS
A personal flotation device capable of providing buoyancy and preventing hypothermia and death caused by loss of body heat by supporting the individual's entire body out of the water. Special design features increase the ease of use to ensure successful deployment and boarding, even among injured, weak, and/or physically exhausted individuals. This personal flotation device is small and compact, so that it may be used in a prophylactic manner from low-risk to high-risk applications.
Swimming assist garment capable of adjusting buoyancy positions
Embodiments provide a swimming assist garment capable of adjusting buoyancy positions. In the embodiments, the swimming assist garment includes a swimsuit, a buoyancy mechanism, and a gas regulating mechanism. The inflatable end of the gas regulating mechanism is connected to first airbags of a first buoyancy assembly and a second airbag of a second buoyancy assembly. The first bidirectional air pumps are connected to each first airbag and each third airbag of the first buoyancy assembly; and a second bidirectional air pump is connected to the second airbag and the fourth airbag of the second buoyancy assembly, to change the buoyancy positions of the swimsuit to adapt to swimming postures or to support the head on the water.
Bouyant inflatable device
A personal flotation device capable of providing buoyancy and preventing hypothermia and death caused by loss of body heat by supporting the individual's entire body out of the water. Special design features increase the ease of use to ensure successful deployment and boarding, even among injured, weak, and/or physically exhausted individuals. This personal flotation device is small and compact, so that it may be used in a prophylactic manner from low-risk to high-risk applications.
Backpack System With Improved Detection of Catastrophic Events
A mobile device is interoperable with a backpack system having a case body defining an interior cavity in which to carry articles and an exterior shell, having a mass and volume when fully loaded with articles suitable for an individual to carry; an inflatable floatation aid fixed to the exterior shell; and, an inflator in communication with the inflatable floatation aid, for inflation of the inflatable floatation aid. The mobile device includes: a locator beacon, including a communications transmitter capable of signaling a remote party and a geo-locating apparatus; sensors producing sensor outputs indicative of plural environmental parameters of the mobile device; and a processor having outputs for communication with the locator beacon in the mobile device and the inflator in the backpack system.
Lifesaving device and lifesaving control method
A lifesaving device and a lifesaving control method are provided. Wherein, the lifesaving device includes: at least one first detection module (200) configured for detecting human body biological characteristic information, a lifesaving device body (100) capable of being worn on a body of a user, and at least one first gasbag module (300) arranged on the lifesaving device body (100); after the first gasbag module (300) is activated, a lifesaving gasbag (1) can be popped up; the first detection module (200) is in signal connection with the first gasbag module (300) and is configured for activating the first gasbag module (300) when the biological characteristic information detected meets a first preset condition.
Controllable water floatation garment
The present invention relates to a water floatation garment, and in particular, to such a swimming garment incorporating a fillable bladder and electronics provided to identify emergency situation such as drowning based on sensed data that causing the garment to trigger the fillable bladder to inflate allowing a user to float to surface therein preventing a drowning.
