FLOTATION SYSTEM
A flotation system includes a crotch support and a vest. The crotch support includes a central body, a first pad, a second pad, and first and second elastic bands extending from the first pad. The vest includes a lower torso support and an upper torso stabilization system. The lower torso support can include a flexible body, and first and second flanks extending from the flexible body. The stabilization system can include first and second arms, each having a proximal end extending from the lower torso support, and a distal end. An extension may extend from each distal end to engage the first or second flank. Each of the central body, pads, flexible body, and arms can include a buoyant body. The elastic bands can wrap around the lower torso support such that a compressive force is applied along a circumference defined by a torso of a user.
FLOTATION HARNESS AND KINETIC SAFETY SYSTEM
A flotation harness and kinetic safety system includes a vest-style harness having an internal buoyant material for functioning as a personal flotation device. An elongated kinetic recovery cord is connected to the back panel. A length adjustment mechanism is positioned along the cord and a clip is positioned along the distal end of the cord for engaging an overhead portion of a boat. At least one adjustment belt is positioned along the harness body. A pelvic support panel extends down from the back panel of the harness body and connect to the front panels. The pelvic support panel works in conjunction with the kinetic recovery cord to selectively support the weight of a user as the boat encounters waves.

Pop Up Vest
Apparatus and associated methods relate to a pop-up vest, illustratively implemented as a flotation apparel item comprising a water sport apparel item, an inflatable Personal Flotation Device (PFD) configured in the water sport apparel item, and an inflation trigger configured to inflate the PFD. The water sport apparel item may comprise a shirt, t-shirt, wetsuit or rash guard. The water sport apparel item may be adapted to retain the PFD between an outer apparel item layer and a base apparel item layer sewn together. The inflation trigger may be a pull tab configured to inflate the PFD when desired. The inflation trigger may be a sensor configured to automatically inflate the PFD when the sensor is wet. An exemplary pop-up vest implementation may be configured with a water activated light to improve visibility. Some pop-up vest designs may comprise a whistle permitting the user to raise awareness of their location.
Life vest with rescue handle
A life vest with a rescue handle located on the back side thereof. The rescue handle has a flange located at the lower end thereof, the flange being attached to the back side of the life vest with the rescue handle extending substantially vertically upwards. The rescue handle is attached to the back side of the life vest in a manner adapted to support the weight of a user. The rescue handle has a non-loop shape that eliminates the potential for entanglement with objects in the water.

Fuel cell-based life jacket
The present invention relates to a life jacket based on a fuel cell that can store hydrogen fuel in it. Particularly, the present invention provides a fuel cell based life jacket that can utilize electricity, heat and water generated during the operation of a fuel cell as a power source of a life extension tool and a personal location beacon. The fuel cell based life jacket of the present invention comprises a fuel cell unit for supplying electricity, a hydrogen fuel supply unit for storing and supplying the hydrogen fuel required for the fuel cell unit to generate electricity, a signal output unit for transmitting a signal using the electricity generated by the fuel cell unit, and a heat generating unit for recovering and transferring the heat generated in the fuel cell unit, wherein the hydrogen fuel supply unit generates hydrogen by using a hydrogen generation composition.
Illuminated lifesaving jacket
The illuminated lifesaving jacket is a personal floatation device compromising LED lighting, a cell phone pocket, a control unit, locator module, and a jacket battery pack. The LED lighting may increase the visibility of the jacket and may be activated by the control unit based upon input from a manual switch, a water-activated switch, or an application program running on a personal communication device such as a smart phone. The personal communication device may be held in the waterproof cell phone pocket and may wirelessly link to the control unit. The control unit may acquire location information from the locator module and may transmit messages that include location information to authorities in an effort to seek help. The jacket battery pack may provide electrical energy for the control unit, locator module, and personal communication device. A wristband may provide additional LED lighting to enhance visibility.
