Portable sports practice net or sports goal
A portable sports practice net includes a frame with a base to which removable vertical poles having top side bar supports, such as T-units or L-units, are joined holds a net to create an opening, such as a goal opening. The top side bar supports have a unique shape and extend horizontally from the top of the vertical poles in a manner that reduces the weight placed on the net fabric hung between the vertical poles and creates a goal pocket depth with need for additional vertical posts. Or, the tops of the vertical posts are joined to T-units or L-units, with each T-unit or L-unit having a horizontal bar slidably engaged thereto to create the goal opening depth. Each vertical post creates a pivot point at its bottom end, such that each vertical post is urged apart from the other post to create tension or leverage between the opposite top side bar supports or T-units or L-units, thus creating a net opening with a more realistic goal shape and reducing sag at the top edge. The portable sports practice net may be used with soccer, golf, baseball and other sports.
WEIGHTED SHIN GUARD
A weighted shin guard is designed to be worn during exercise for building strength, endurance and speed. The weighted shin guard moves the weight from the ankle to the shin, where it is no longer putting a strain on the ankle joint and affecting joint movement. The weighted shin guard is similar in size and shape to traditional shin guards, and can be worn discreetly, unlike other conventional ankle or shin strapped weights. In addition, the weighted shin guard includes the built-in functionality of protecting the shin from impact, enabling the user to switch seamlessly between traditional shin guards and weighted shin guards.
Apparatus for Throwing and Catching a Football
The present invention is directed to an apparatus for throwing and catching a football by a user of the apparatus. The apparatus includes a football having a connector, such as a loop, attached to one end of the football, specifically the point of the football; an elastic cord having connectors at opposite ends, with one connector configured to attach to the connector on the football and the opposite connector configured to attach to a stationary object or anchor to anchor the apparatus during use, and wherein each connector attached to the elastic cord is configured to swivel such that the opposite ends of each connector can freely rotate relative to each other to allow the football to rotate relative to the elastic cord and to allow the elastic cord to rotate relative to the anchor.
Sports ball
A sports ball is provided and may include an interior bladder and a cover disposed about the interior bladder. The cover may comprise a plurality of adjoining panels. The cover may further define an exterior surface comprising a plurality of plateau sections and a plurality of indentations extending radially inward from the exterior surface. The plurality of indentations may include a plurality of peripheral channels or seams and a plurality of interior channels. Each seam has a seam length and the plurality of seams has a first aggregate deboss length. Each interior channel has a channel length and the plurality of interior channels has a second aggregate deboss length. Collectively, the seams and interior channels have an aggregate feature length, which is defined as a sum of the first aggregate deboss length and the second aggregate deboss length. The aggregate feature length is greater than 800 centimeters.
INTERACTIVE SPORTS TRAINING SYSTEM AND METHOD
An interactive sports training system, including a basketball hoop on a basketball platform, a metal structure connected to the basketball hoop, a main post connected to the basketball hoop and the metal structure, a plurality of back structure bars connected to the main post, a plurality of foldable ground construction bars connected to the main post, a plurality of side nets positioned to form a triangular structure with the main posts and the plurality of foldable ground construction bars connected to the main post, a football post located in a football platform, and a plurality of metal mesh bars. The plurality of metal mesh bars provide connection of the plurality of side nets with a telescopic mesh carrier structure.
SPORTS REBOUNDING AND GOAL APPARATUS
A sports rebounding and goal apparatus for receiving a moving object, such as a ball, or puck having a base frame with elongated base members, an upper frame connected to the base frame and having elongated supports and upper frame members pivotally connected to the base frame. A first lock pivotally joins the supports and is selectively actuatable between a locked configuration to fix relative movement between the elongated supports and an unlocked configuration to allow folding movement of the supports relative to each other and relative to the first lock. Elongated cross members are pivotally connected to the upper frame and slidingly connected to base frame. A second lock pivotally connects at least one of the cross members and is selectively actuatable between a locked configuration to fix relative movement between the cross members and an unlocked position to allow drawing together of the cross members.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DEVELOPING AND IMPROVING PLACE KICKING SKILLS IN SOCCER GOAL KICKING
A training apparatus for place kicking in soccer has a goal frame including a first vertical post, a second vertical post spaced apart and connected at the tops to a horizontal cross bar, a soccer netting attached to the first and second vertical posts and to the horizontal cross bar, two or more vertical straps attached at one end to the cross bar and staked to the ground at the opposite ends thereof, two or more diagonal and or horizontal straps attached to the first and second vertical posts and residing there between, and two or more visible targets strategically attached to the soccer netting. The vertical straps and the horizontal straps intersecting to create multiple visible target zones, the two or more targets attached strategically to the soccer netting within the visible footprints of individual ones or a plurality of the created target zones.
SPORTS BALL TRAINING OR SIMULATING DEVICE
A ball training or simulating device is provided. The ball training or simulating device comprises a modified ball coupled to a base by a motion transfer member. The modified ball allows for a lower, more natural, ball position, while the shape, position, and configuration of the motion transfer member provide for a verisimilar kicking experience. The ball training and/or simulating device can be coupled to a computing device to allow input from the modified ball to be used in a simulated or augmented reality game. A computer-implemented method for conducting a virtual, augmented, or mixed reality game is also provided.
Protective headgear with display and methods for use therewith
Protective headgear includes, for example, a headgear body that is wearable on a head of a baseball umpire. At least one sensor is configured to generate imaging data that includes a batter in proximity to home plate. A processor analyzes the imaging data to determine a strike zone of the batter and to generate augmented reality data in response thereto. A display device generates a heads up display of the strike zone that is viewable to the baseball umpire during a pitch to the batter, based on the augmented reality data. Other embodiments are disclosed.
