A smart clothing and backpack system enables a user to perform many actions. The smart clothing includes circuitry and/or is made of a conductive material enclosed in an insulation material. The smart clothing includes a set of sensors configured to detect body information. The smart clothing includes multiple electromagnets configured to adjust a size of the smart clothing. The electromagnets are configured to have an increased attraction to make the smart clothing tighter on the body of the user. The system includes a smart backpack to communicate with the smart clothing. The smart backpack includes a Radio Frequency IDentification (RFID) reader configured to detect RFID tags on or in items within the smart backpack. Many other features are able to be implemented with the smart clothing and backpack system. The smart clothing is able to include a wetsuit configured to communicate with a surfboard and/or a backpack.

Adjustable circumferential seal

An adjustable circumference seal includes an envelope having an outer layer and an inner layer, with the inner layer defining a sealing surface. A circumferential closure is provided for constricting the inner layer of the envelope and thereby adjusting a circumference of the inner layer of the envelope. The closure includes a band having a first end and a second end, with a first cord guide at the first end and a second cord guide at the second end. A cord is threaded from the outer layer through a cord channel in the envelope, through the first cord guide of the band, through the second cord guide of the band and back through the cord channel. By pulling the cord, the circumference of the inner layer of the envelope is reduced until the sealing surface is brought into a sealing engagement. A cord lock for maintains the cord in a selected position.

Adjustable circumferential seal

An adjustable circumference seal includes an envelope having an outer layer and an inner layer, with the inner layer defining a sealing surface. A circumferential closure is provided for constricting the inner layer of the envelope and thereby adjusting a circumference of the inner layer of the envelope. The closure includes a band having a first end and a second end, with a first cord guide at the first end and a second cord guide at the second end. A cord is threaded from the outer layer through a cord channel in the envelope, through the first cord guide of the band, through the second cord guide of the band and back through the cord channel. By pulling the cord, the circumference of the inner layer of the envelope is reduced until the sealing surface is brought into a sealing engagement. A cord lock for maintains the cord in a selected position.

[Problem] To provide a body protection product such as a wetsuit that does not require a troublesome and time-consuming step such as machine sewing, does not cause discomfort for the wearer, and does not result in a loss to the degree of freedom in terms of design. [Solution] A wetsuit (10), in which a highly stretchable and elastic sheet-shaped fabric is draped so as to match the concave and convex features of the body shape of a wearer and a plurality of fabric pieces (11) are prepared, an adhesive (3) is applied to the draping surfaces of the fabric pieces (11), and the draping surfaces are then pressed against each other and joined without stitching, whereby a three-dimensional clothing base (1) is formed. Next, an adhesive (4) is applied to the surface of the clothing base and stretching is performed, whereby the surface of the clothing base is covered by a stretchable covering material (2) formed to match the shape of the clothing base (1). The clothing base (1) and the covering material (2) are compressed under heating and thereby made to adhere to each other.
