REAL-TIME ATHLETIC PERFORMANCE DETECTION AND EVALUATION
A system for evaluating an athlete's movement in real-time with respect to a predetermined target movement includes at least one sensor configured to detect a movement of the athlete's specific body part and generate a respective signal indicative of the detected movement. The system also includes a headset receiver configured to be worn by the athlete, in communication with the at least one sensor, configured to receive the respective signal from the sensor(s) and generate, in real-time, to the athlete a sensory feedback signal indicative of a quality of the detected movement. A method of evaluating an athlete's movement in real-time with respect to a predetermined target movement and using the above-described system is also disclosed.
SPORTS TRAINING DEVICE AND IMPLEMENTATION THEREOF
Embodiments of a sports training device that incorporates structure to facilitate installation and transport. These embodiments include a frame with one or more articulating sections that can change the configuration of the frame. The different configurations can change the dimensions of the sports training device, e.g., reducing the dimensions for transport and increasing the dimensions to match the opening of a goal.
ANIMATED SPORTS TRAINING AND SIMULATOR GAME SYSTEM
A simulator system includes a projector, a target assembly and a data processing system. The target assembly includes a projection surface and a sensor array defines a sensing plane configured to sense a position of a projectile in the sensing plane relative to the projection surface.
Dual bracket mechanism mounted sports goal practice backstop system
A sports goal practice backstop for removable attachment to a sports goal, sans any kind of tools, including a backstop net mechanism with a multiplicity of sections, a right and left bracket assembly including a corner bracket mechanism with a clamp knob and a pivot hinge member, a right and left support structures that are removably attached to the pivot hinge members and a counterweight mechanism which counterbalances the weight of the backstop net mechanism.
Multiple sport training device and sport training system
In one embodiment, the multi-sport training device disclosed herein comprises a plurality of adjustable panels that easily attach to a frame of a goal and may be adjusted to different configurations desired by the player, or shooter. Each panel in the plurality of panels is configured for independent attachment to the goal, and may be hung vertically from the crossbar of the goal, or flipped over the goal to expose a portion of the open goal. Each panel is also configured for independent adjustment in length.
Instructional Surface With Haptic and Optical Elements
An exercise system comprising: an exercise mat; a plurality of sensors integrated into the exercise mat, each of the sensors configured to sense when a force is applied to a respective portion of the exercise mat; a plurality of displays coupled to the exercise mat and configured to display indications corresponding to desired locations for body parts of a user in accordance with an exercise routine; at least one processor disposed in communication with the plurality of sensors and the plurality of displays; and memory storing at least one exercise routine for use with the exercise mat and instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, configures the exercise system to: display on one or more of the displays indications corresponding to desired locations of a user's body part in accordance with a form of one of the exercise routines stored in memory; sense by one or more of the sensors an application of force to the exercise mat; determine that a location of the sensed application of force is different than a display location of at least one of the indications; and display on one or more of the displays at least one marker identifying a direction from the location of the sensed application of force to the display location of the at least one of the indications.
Spring-form banner with cinch straps for mounting to poles of variable size and cross-sectional geometry
A goal training aid mountable to a pole for use as a target for goal training practice is provided. The goal training aid includes: a canvas target portion including an edge binding encompassing the canvas target portion, the edge binding including a flexible strip formed into a loop within the edge binding and joined together with a seizing band; a cinch loop attached to a front side of the canvas target portion by a cinch loop attachment strap; a strap adjustor attached to a rear side of the canvas target portion with a strap adjustor attachment strap; and a hook and loop cinch strap installed on the strap adjustor, the hook and loop cinch strap including a hook region and a loop region, both the hook region and loop region formed on a same side of the hook and loop cinch strap.
Batting glove and cushioning apparatus
A batting glove (10) has a cover member (12) defining a central opening and a plurality of finger elements (20) including a forefinger element (24) and a thumb element (22). The batting glove (10) has a web member (14) generally positioned between the finger element (20) and the thumb element (22). The web member (14) minimizes force against a thenar region of a wearer's hand from a bat in response to hitting a ball with the bat.
Golf club head customization
A method of customizing a golf club, wherein the method includes generating operating data representative of a user operating a mechanical device. The operating data is generated by a first sensor sized and configured to be removably positioned in a mounting port formed on the mechanical device during operation of the mechanical device. The sensor is interchangeably positionable in the mounting port with at least one mass insert, the at least one mass insert being adapted to be interchangeably positioned in the mounting to provide at least two different mass configurations. The method further includes determining a recommended configuration of the at least one mass insert specific to the user based on the operating data generated by the sensor, and transmitting information representative of the recommended mass insert.
Sports Training System
A system for sports training comprising an object comprising one or more sensors that allows the system to identify the location of the object. The object also may have a microprocessor and wireless transmitter to allow for transmission of the sensor data via wireless transmission to an external electronic device. A software application running on the electronic device, such as a mobile phone or tablet, receives the sensor data and incorporates the information into a game-like or training application. This application can display to the user which location the object should be for the game. This application can also analyze which patterns the player has difficulties with and suggest certain patterns and other advice to help the player to improve their skills. Use of ultra-wideband communication between objects and base stations can determine the position of objects for use in training in hockey or soccer.
