TRAINING SYSTEM AND METHOD OF USING SAME
A method can include projecting one or more objects along one or more pre-determined trajectories toward a target zone, with each having a diameter less than a diameter of a regulation table tennis ball, the trainee attempting to prevent the one or more objects from entering the target zone and scoring the ability of the trainee. A method can include displaying a first video to a trainee that explains setup for a delivery device, setting up the delivery device based on the first video, projecting an object along a pre-determined trajectory toward a target zone proximate the trainee, wherein the object has a diameter that is less than a diameter of a regulation table tennis ball, and scoring an ability of the trainee to interact with the object at the target zone.
HOCKEY TRAINING BOARD FOR PUCK HANDLING AND SHOOTING
The present invention is a training apparatus and method-of-use for developing a hockey player's stick handling techniques to carry the puck forward and perform a variety of shots. The apparatus includes a collapsible platform which is utilized by athletes and trainers that includes drills and guides that promote stickhandling skills, teach proper techniques in four different categories of shooting, and encourage correct posture for skating and stickhandling motion.
TECHNOLOGIES FOR INTERACTIVE TRAINING WITH DIGITAL PROJECTION
Technologies for interactive training include a computing device and a light projection device such as a digital laser projector. The computing device creates a digital practice plan indicative of a play or drill. The play or drill is indicative of multiple player positions. The computing device projects a digital practice plan diagram onto a playing surface with the light projection device. The digital practice plan diagram is based on the digital practice plan and is indicative of the play or drill. The play or drill may be further indicative of movement associated with each player position, and the computing device may animate the digital practice plan diagram on the playing surface based on the digital practice plan. The computing device may receive a user command and further control the animation of the digital practice plan diagram in response to receiving the user command. Other embodiments are described and claimed.
Swing training assembly for swing sports including golf, baseball, tennis or hockey
A swing training assembly includes a shuttle, a shuttle travel track, a tensioner, a shuttle displacement line and a shuttle pulley. The shuttle resides in the shuttle travel track and the shuttle pulley and shuttle displacement line are adapted to linearly displace the shuttle to different shuttle positions within the shuttle travel track in response to displacement forces applied to the shuttle pulley by a user pulling on the shuttle displacement line. The tensioner provides an opposing counter-force to control the rate of shuttle displacement. The swing training assembly may also include body positioning limits to maintain proper body alignment while the user pulls on the shuttle displacement line.
MOTION CAPTURE AND ANALYSIS
Systems and methods for motion capture and analysis are described. The system may include a motion sensor unit configured to capture data associated with movement of an object. The motion sensor unit is configured to be directly or indirectly coupled to the movement object at a first location. The system also includes a processor to process the captured data to determine one or more values and to translate the data and/or values to correspond to a second location on the movement object located away from the first location. The data and/or values, including translated data and/or values, may be transmitted by wireless transmitter and displayed by a display unit.
Four Rivet Puck
An improved hockey puck for use on unsmooth surfaces such as streets and parking lots. The puck is comprised of two equally sized disks with solidifying weights and where the disks have the same diameter of the standard hockey puck. These disks have a top and a bottom where the top has an inner and outer rim and the bottom is flat. The disks are connected to each other using four rivets with a spacing means between the disks.
Adjustable target system
An adjustable target system for use on a goal having a first post, a second post, and a crossbar. The adjustable target system includes a frame and a bracket configured and arranged for adjustably attaching the frame to one of the first post, second post, and crossbar. The bracket is configured and arranged for removably attaching to one of the first post, second post and crossbar without the use of tools.
TRAINING DEVICE FOR A GAME OF HOCKEY
A training device for a game of stick and ball, such as filed hockey. The training device can mount to a standard hockey stick to guide the movements and limit certain movements and spatial positions of the hockey stick while practicing. The training device includes a disc having a central section and a peripheral rim; a sleeve in the central section receives a handle and a shaft of a stick; and a fastening member coupled to the sleeve and secures the training device to a head or the shaft of the stick that is within the sleeve.
Wireless Electronic Table Game Scoreboard
A method of operating an electronic basketball scoreboard apparatus is disclosed. The method includes receiving a game parameter; operating a basketball game based upon the received game parameter; receiving a first indication of a ball passing through a first basketball hoop; receiving a second indication of a ball passing through a second basketball hoop; determining a first score of the basketball game based on the first indication from the first score sensor; determining a second score of the basketball game based on the second indication from the second score sensor; recording video of the basketball game; transmitting the recorded video; and transmitting the first score and the second score.
Wetting ball
This disclosure relates to a ball comprising a core and a porous structure encompassing the core. The porous structure comprises a plurality of perforations in its outer surface, which are connected with a plurality of hollow confined spaces within the porous structure allowing a liquid to be at least partly absorbed by the hollow confined spaces upon contact of the ball with the liquid. A shell with shell perforations encompasses the porous structure. The ball comprises control means for controlling the absorption of liquid by the ball and the release of absorbed liquid from the ball.
