AUTONOMOUS UNMANNED UNDERWATER VEHICLES
Autonomous underwater vehicles are described that are stackable with other like autonomous underwater vehicles on a suitable launch platform, such as within a vertical missile launch tube of a submarine, waiting to be deployed into the water. The underwater vehicles can be deployed or launched individually, in groups, or all together into the water. While stacked together, the stacked autonomous underwater vehicles can connect to one another or to external structure of the launch platform. In addition, the underwater vehicles can be positively buoyant or can be made to have controllable buoyancy to allow the underwater vehicles to float up and out of the launch platform during deployment without an external deployment force.
Waterproof floatation case for outboard motor
A waterproof floatation case is provided for an outboard motor which is suitable for use during deployment for covert operations with an inflatable motor craft. The encased propulsion unit can be mounted without the need for removing the case and the two panels of the case butterflied between the motor and watercraft to permit full operation of the motor. A 2-way valve permits suction to be drawn down on the case evacuating excess air and corrosive fluids from the encased motor.
METHOD OF MAKING A TUBULAR CASING FOR AN UNDERWATER DEVICE, IN PARTICULAR A TORPEDO
A method of making a tubular casing for an underwater device, wherein a metal ring made of aluminum is subjected to an anodizing process that produces an insulating layer of aluminum oxide that covers it externally. The ring is coupled with a mould that defines a cylindrical surface on which the following are deposited: first layers of carbon fibre to produce a first cylindrically-shaped tubular element in carbon fibre provided with an end portion that engages a first groove of the ring; a layer of syntactic material configured to transfer radial forces; and second layers of carbon fibre to produce a second cylindrically-shaped tubular element in carbon fibre that covers the syntactic layer and is provided with an end portion that engages a first groove of the ring.
WIDE-BASED SUBMARINE
The present disclosure provides a wide-based sub. Further, the wide-based sub may include a hull comprising a wide-based structure. Further, the wide-based sub May include a deck which may be configured for facilitating performance of an activity associated with the wide-based sub. Further, the activity includes one or more of a storage of an asset and a maritime operation associated with the wide-based sub. Further, the wide-based sub may include a propulsion device which may be configured for propelling the wide-based sub in relation to each of the underwater environment and the afloat environment. Further, the wide-based sub may include a missiles storage and firing module configured for automatic firing and reloading of a plurality of missiles in a range of 10 to 1000.
