An exercise weight unit adapted to be handheld and palm-centered comprising a body and a feature at an end of the body configured to create a slight inward torque when the weight unit is held in a hand of a user during physical sports training, wherein the feature is one of a hook shape, a mushroom shape and a fin shape.

Track-runner pacing system with moving light
10905932 · 2021-02-02 · ·

A system for pacing a runner around a running track at a predetermined pace with a moving visual light cue. The system has at least one light strip that is positioned in sight of at least one running lane of a running track, and the light strip has a plurality of light elements that can be sequentially lighted to make it appear as if a single light source is moving along the track at predetermined pace. There is a controller for the light strip that tracks the position of a runner on the running track and selectively light one or more of the plurality of light elements of the light strip in a sequence to have the runner attempt to keep a specific pace. The controller can be dynamically updateable by the runner, and multiple systems can be used to track the runners.

Various embodiments for a swing training system are described that include a resistance garment with air resistance components for providing resistance to, or to control and guide, a biomechanical swinging motion. A shoulder harness system includes an athlete attachment area and at least one coupling member having a first end configured to couple to a swing device attachment and a second end configured to couple to the athlete attachment area, where the shoulder harness system is configured to maintain, or monitor, a location of the swing device and detach from shoulder harness system in response to a predefined amount of force being exerted by an athlete during a swinging motion of the bat while training.

PORTABLE INSTRUMENT FOR MANAGING A SPORTS OR WELL-BEING ACTIVITY

A portable instrument provided with a device for controlling or managing a sports or well-being activity of a person wearing the portable instrument. The control device includes at least a motion sensor and a pressure sensor connected to a calculation unit, and a GNSS receiver module connected to the calculation unit. The calculation unit of the control device is arranged to activate the GNSS receiver module for a time of activation defined subsequent to variations in movement detected by the motion sensor differing from known movement data or walking profiles in order to determine at least one reference speed of the person, and to deactivate the GNSS receiver module after the activation time for a deactivation time greater than the activation time.

Displaying a scrollable list of affordances associated with physical activities

The present disclosure generally relates to managing user interfaces associated with physical activities. The user interface displays a scrollable list of affordances associated with physical activities. The affordances may contain physical activity and heart rate information. A user can launch a physical activity tracking function or an interface to change a workout metric using an affordance. Users can also control the music that is played in response to selecting a workout. Further, the interface can be used to compose a reply message to a received message that contains workout information. The interfaces can show a graph that includes heart data when the user's heart rate meets a heart rate alert criteria.

The back attachment member is moveably positioned on the belt and at least partially encircles the belt. The back attachment member comprises a first portion and a second portion, the first portion extending completely across a width of the belt on the outer side of the belt, and the second portion extending at least partially across the width of the belt on the inner side of the belt. The first band attachment loop is moveably connected to the back attachment member. The elastomeric band extends through the first band attachment loop. A foot coupling includes at least one flexible strap and a second band attachment loop. The elastomeric band extends between the foot coupling and the back attachment member.

Running Parameters Detection System for Treadmills and Detection Method Thereof
20200376341 · 2020-12-03 ·

The present invention discloses a running parameters detection system for treadmills and detection method thereof, wherein the system detects the running change data generated by a user running on a treadmill configured with a running belt, a motor and an electronic circuit device by means of a sensor, as well as the running belt operation speed data of the treadmill, in which the running change data is the current data or vertical acceleration data; subsequently, the running change data can be further applied to determine the touchdown moment recording point and the off-ground moment recording point, thereby then, based on such two time points, further calculating various kinematic parameters, e.g., touchdown time, in-the-air time, stride frequency, stride length and vertical amplitude or the like; for example, such five kinematic parameters can be utilized for scientifically monitoring and training runners.
