Climbing exercise machine
An exercise machine creates a simulated continuous resisted climbing motion. The machine includes a floor- or ground-contacting base frame and two or more substantially vertically oriented uprights, wherein at least one upright is rigidly connected to the base frame. The machine further includes two handles and two foot pedals, each handle and each foot pedal being movably engaged with an upright for linear reciprocating motion along the upright. The handles and foot pedals are interconnected so that they move concurrently. An adjustable resistance mechanism may be operatively connected to the interconnection of the handles and foot pedals to provide adjustable resistance for the simulated continuous climbing motion.
LIFT, DROP, SWING, AND ATTENUATION APPARATUS AND METHOD
A tower may support a horizontal track and a vertical climbing wall therebelow. A trolley, movable along the track, may be selectively driven toward and away from the tower by belay lines, line and capstan, positive drive, or some combination. Belay lines reeved over pulleys on the trolley may be taken up and paid out independently from the trolley, while fixed or moving. A rider may climb, be lifted, or both to near the intersection of the tower and track, from there to fall or jump into a controllable trajectory such as swinging or simulating a parachute landing. Swinging may be rapidly attenuated almost entirely by “bumps,” lifting a rider to remove momentum and kinetic energy as a rider moves toward a pivot point overhead. Control may be simplified based on sensing and using timing past bottom dead center (BDC).
FULL BODY EXERCISE APPARATUS
A portable exercise apparatus utilized for exercising, stretching, and training multiple muscle groups of the body of a user. The apparatus is adapted to be worn about the waist or carried as a bandolier about the user's body. The apparatus has at least one releasably closable pocket and fixation rings for securing and carrying accessories, such as attachable handles, suspension lines, and elastic bands. The apparatus and methods of use provide the user with a plurality of configurations for assisted exercise regimens and the flexibility to exercise anywhere.
DEVICES AND METHODS FOR SIMULATING TRADITIONAL ROCK CLIMBING ENVIRONMENTS
An apparatus includes a frame and an access member. The frame is configured to be mounted to a structural support, and defines a first volume configured to receive at least a portion of a first insert, and a second volume configured to receive at least a portion of a second insert. The frame is configured such that when the first insert is within the first volume and the second insert is within the second volume a first engagement surface of the first insert is facing a second engagement surface of the second insert. The frame includes a first tapered surface that engages a tapered surface of the first insert to limit movement of the first insert along a lateral axis nonparallel to the longitudinal axis. The access member is configured to be coupled to the frame covering a portion of the first volume to limit movement of the first insert.
Climbing element and climbing system
A climbing element has a through-opening running from a visible side to a rear side. A reinforcing element is arranged on or in the through-opening and has a passage opening arranged concentrically with the through-opening, wherein one end of the reinforcing element forms a screw head counterhold. Either the reinforcing element is composed of a counter-holding element having the screw head counterhold and a tubular rivet protruding from the rear side into the through-opening, or the reinforcing element is a single element, the underside of which is pressed into the plastic of the climbing element on the visible side of the climbing element, with an upper side of the reinforcing element being at least partially covered by the plastic.
BRAKING MECHANISMS
An eddy-current braking mechanism including a rotor, rotatable about a rotor axis; at least one electrically conductive member coupled to the rotor for rotation therewith; at least one magnet configured to apply a magnetic field extending at least partially orthogonal to the plane of rotation of the conductive member, and characterised in that upon rotation of the rotor, the conductive member is configured to move at least partially radially from the rotor axis into the applied magnetic field.
MULTI-PURPOSE ADJUSTABLE-INCLINE CLIMBING WALL
Embodiments of the present invention are directed to an adjustable-incline climbing wall. The climbing wall comprises one or more climbing panels supported by a frame and a system for adjusting the incline of the frame to provide a climbing wall of a desired incline. The incline of the climbing wall may be adjusted by activating an actuator, which extends the upper portion of the frame a distance from a support wall, tilting the climbing wall to a desired incline. When the climbing wall is substantially vertically oriented, the system for adjusting the incline of the climbing wall may extend only a small distance from the support wall so that the adjustable-incline climbing wall has a relatively small footprint. In some embodiments, the climbing wall may also comprise one or more fitness accessories that can brought to an optimal height for a particular user through adjustment of the climbing wall incline.
SMART DEVICE
An Internet of Thing (IoT) device includes a camera coupled to a processor; and a wireless transceiver coupled to the processor. Blockchain smart contracts can be used with the device to facilitate secure operation.
Full body exercise apparatus
A layered strap-like apparatus for exercising, stretching and training multiple muscle groups of the entire body of a user. The apparatus is adapted to be worn about the waist or carried as a bandolier about the user's body. The apparatus has an optional, releasably closable pocket between the layers for securing and carrying accessories, such as attachable handles and elastic bands. The apparatus and methods of use provide the user with balanced loading options and the flexibility to exercise anywhere.
