SHIP EMERGENCY STOPING
The present application relates generally to a control arrangement for controlling at least two azimuthing propulsion units of a ship. The control arrangement comprises a crash stop activation member for activating a crash stop procedure, after which the crash stop procedure is executed in which the orientation and propulsion speed of the azimuthing propulsion units are controlled until the propagation speed of the ship has at least been reduced from the moment when the crash stop procedure was activated.
System and apparatus for outboard watercraft trim control
An outboard motor mounting apparatus for outboard motors that control the outboard motor propeller thrust line angle of attack through a larger range than is currently available in practice today, including afterplanes (hydrodynamic lifting surfaces) in order to create boat stern lift. The afterplanes move to provide lift with a trimmable hinged portion in combination with movement of the outboard motor propeller thrust line.
SEALING SYSTEM, METHOD AND WATERCRAFT
A sealing system for sealing a shaft located under water includes a bush mountable on the shaft and fixed to the shaft, a housing fixed with respect to the bush and surrounding a first portion of the bush, a lubricant chamber and an air chamber in the housing and open to the bush, the lubricant chamber being sealed with respect to the air chamber by a seal ring, a mechanical seal outside the housing and surrounding a second portion of the bush, an air supply line and an air discharge line connected to the air chamber, and a quantity of lubricating oil in the lubricant chamber, the lubricating oil being in fluid communication with a lubricant tank via at least one oil line, wherein an air pressure in the air chamber is greater than an oil pressure in the lubricant chamber.
Method of and an arrangement for improving the lubrication system of a propulsion device of a marine vessel
A method of and an arrangement for improving the lubrication system of a propulsion device of a marine vessel are specifically applicable in removing water from the lubrication oil of various types of thrusters. An inert gas is arranged from an inert gas source to flow through a gas cavity in the lubrication system for flushing moist gas from the cavity.

Watercraft having retractable drive mechanism
Examples are disclosed that relate to watercraft with retractable drive mechanisms. One example provides a watercraft including a hull having a receiving compartment, and also having a deck. The watercraft also includes a drive unit extending through the deck and the hull of the watercraft and being configured to receive rotational input. The drive unit includes a driveshaft and propeller moveable between an extended position in which the propeller is positioned underneath the hull and a retracted position in which the propeller is positioned at least partially within the receiving compartment.

DRIVE ARRANGEMENT FOR A MARINE VESSEL
A drive arrangement for a marine vessel. The drive arrangement includes an upper drive part configured to be mounted onto an outside of a transom of the marine vessel. A lower drive part is connected to the upper drive part to be fixed in a vertical direction in relation to the upper drive part. The lower drive part has a hydrodynamic configuration and is provided with at least one propeller. A transmission system is arranged to transfer a drive torque to the propeller from a drive source system connected to the transmission system. An outer surface of the upper drive part substantially is made up of a plurality of surface sections connected by one or more edges. Each of said surface sections has a shape corresponding to a so-called ruled surface that can be generated by the motion of a straight line.
STERN DRIVES HAVING BREAKAWAY LOWER GEARCASE
A stern drive is for propelling a marine vessel in water. The stern drive has an upper drive unit with a lower mounting surface; a lower gearcase coupled to the lower mounting surface and a trailing end surface that is angled relative to the lower mounting surface; and a propeller shaft extending forwardly from the lower gearcase and being configured to rotate a propeller for pulling the marine vessel in the water. The upper drive unit and the lower gearcase are configured such that when a forward side of the lower gearcase impacts an underwater obstruction, the lower gearcase is caused to pivot relative to the upper drive unit until the trailing end surface impacts the lower mounting surface, which thereby causes the lower gearcase to completely uncouple from the upper drive unit.
FOOT CONTROLLER SYSTEM FOR MARINE MOTOR
A foot controller system includes a foot controller having a base that engages a portion of a marine vessel when the foot controller is in an operable position. The foot controller also includes a foot pedal pivotable, with respect to the base, about a first axis, and rotatable, with respect to at least a portion of the base, about a second axis different from the first axis. The foot controller controls a first aspect of a marine motor system when the foot pedal is pivoted about the first axis and controls a second aspect of the marine motor system different from the first aspect when the foot pedal is rotated about the second axis.
